The National Recreation and Park Association research team estimates that there are approximately 14,000 parks and recreation agencies nationwide, of which 1 percent, or 144, have earned national accreditation. REGISTRATION How to Register for Classes
All new users must create an account prior to registering or reserving. Once you have an approved account, you will just need to log in. Accounts will be approved Monday through Friday during normal business hours. You may browse our site as a guest but must have an account to register or reserve.
Online Registration Opens at 8 a.m. on December 19!
• Create a new online account by going to: http://register.siouxfallsparks.org.
• Log in to your account. If you have forgotten your user name and password, you can request that it be emailed to you.
• Complete account information. Items in red are required fields.
• You may browse our site as a guest. If you haven’t registered or reserved before, you will need to create a new account before you will be able to use our online reservation/registration system (see steps at left).
• Accounts need to be approved before you can proceed with registration. Accounts are approved Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m.–5 p.m.. • Once you have been approved, you will receive an email. Proceed to follow the instructions, then you may begin to use the website features. • If you have forgotten your password, you can request that it be reset. An email will be sent with a link with instructions.
Registration closes five business days in advance, unless otherwise noted. • To register online, visit http://register.siouxfallsparks.org.
• Search for the desired class by number/name or by scrolling through all of the Parks and Recreation listings. • Once you find a class/program you wish to attend, click on the plus sign to the left of the class and then click “add to cart.” • Click on appropriate family member then click “continue.” • View cart and proceed to checkout or continue shopping. • Enter payment information to complete purchase. • Upon successful completion, you will receive an email confirmation/receipt.
Cancellations and Refunds
City of Sioux Falls parks are tobacco-free zones. Tobacco use is not allowed during youth activities. It is your commitment and dedication to excellence that allows us to continue serving our community.
Program/class cancellations must be made up to 48 hours in advance of class by calling the Park Office at 605-367-8222. Please have your original receipt number ready. If paid by credit card, a refund will be credited back to the card. Payments made by cash or check less than $25 will be refunded by crediting the online account for future purchases. Payments made by cash or check more than $25 will be refunded by check, sent to the account address on file. Purchases made with a gift card are nonrefundable; however, a credit will be applied to the individual’s online account. If less than a 48-hour notice, no refund or credit will be issued.
Capacity Levels All programs operate with a minimum/maximum capacity. Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation reserves the right to cancel, change, or combine programs when minimum class enrollment has not been met. If Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation cancels a program/class, refunds/credits will be made as stated above.
Wait List Once a class has reached capacity, a wait list will be created. A limited number of spots are available on the wait list. Please click to be placed on the wait list. You will not be charged at that time. Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation will contact you should a spot become available. We will collect payment upon registration.

MEETING ROOMS
The 50 Meter Pool is a multi-use pool that is able to accommodate multiple activities at one time due to two bulkheads that divide the pool into three separate bodies of water. The 50 Meter Pool will accommodate a variety of activities such as recreation and lap swim, water fitness, swimming lessons, and special events such as swim meets, flick and float movies, and Wibit® events.
The Midco® Aquatic Center offers four rooms for rental opportunities. There are two rooms that provide direct access to the Recreation, Warm Water, and 50 Meter Pools. There are two rooms that provide direct access to the 50 Meter Pool. These rooms are perfect for your next family gathering, birthday party, or meeting needs.

SPLASH PAD AND OUTDOOR SUN DECK
ROOM RENTALS The Midco® Aquatic Center has four rooms available for rentals. These rooms are perfect for your next family gathering, birthday party, or meeting needs. Contact the Midco® Aquatic Center office for room availability, reservations, and policies and guidelines.
Rooms 1 and 2 Rooms 1 and 2 can be used individually, or combined to create one large room. These rooms provide access to both the 50 Meter Pool and the Recreation Pool. Each room provides a TV, full-size refrigerator, sink, and microwave. Rental includes tables and chairs set up to accommodate your reservation needs. • Room Rental Cost: $50 per hour, per room. • Estimated Capacity: 30–40 people per room (60–80 combined).

The Splash Pad and Outdoor Sun Deck are located on the south side of the facility. The Splash Pad is fun for all ages and includes interactive water play features in addition to outdoor seating. The Splash Pad and Outdoor Sun Deck is accessible from the Recreation and Warm Water Pools. The Splash Pad and Outdoor Sun Deck will be open each year May–September, weather permitting. Those wishing to enjoy the Splash Pad fun will need to have an active swim pass or pay the daily admission rates.

Swim Passes If you want to visit more than just once, a swim pass is a great option. We offer three different passes that can be purchased daily at the Midco® Aquatic Center: Summer, Fall/Winter/Spring, and an Annual pass. Use the table below to see the differences and prices. All swim passes allow you access to the entire facility including the Recreation Pool, 50 Meter Pool, and Warm Water Pool. Swim passes also allow you to access our locker rooms, lounge area, and outdoor sundeck and splash pad (weather permitting). Our Summer and Annual passes allow you access to the Midco® Aquatic Center, outdoor aquatic centers, and outdoor swimming pools. Rates were established by the Sioux Falls City Council. Swimming lessons will begin at the Midco® Aquatic Center in January 2017! Midco® Aquatic Center is a provider of American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim courses. Swimming lessons will be available for all ages and abilities. Not only does learning to swim allow for you to be safe in and around the water, it also has many other added benefits. Learning to swim provides a lifelong skill that can provide fitness opportunities, improve your health, provide strength and coordination, and provide confidence in the water and motivation to continue to improve skill proficiencies. COMMUNITY CENTERS Community Centers The Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation Community Centers are joint ventures between Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation and the Sioux Falls School Districts. Facilities may include one to three meeting rooms, a kitchen, a game room, a computer lab, and a gym with either three volleyball courts or two basketball courts. Community Centers offer patrons of all ages a friendly place to exercise, recreate and meet friends. Community Centers offer a safe and fun place to enjoy a variety of activities and programs for people of all ages and abilities. For more details, and to view photos of each Community Center, visit www.siouxfalls.org/community-centers. Fees are very reasonable and many activities are free. For further information consult the online event calendar at www.siouxfalls.org/parks-calendar. • Community Center closures due to inclement weather will be aligned with the inclement weather closures of the Sioux Falls School District. • Program hours are subject to change on holidays and public school early dismissal or vacation days. Indoor Pickleball Drop-In Play Terry Redlin Enlarged Gym Pickleball is an easy racket sport for both beginners and experienced players. It has similarities to badminton and tennis. Court dimensions are the same as a double badminton court, but net height is two inches lower than for tennis. The court is tripled like a tennis court; however, it is played with a hard paddle and a polymer, smaller version of a wiffle ball. Hockey Rink & Skate Park Rules Availability of these skate parks in the future may be dependent on patrons’ compliance with the following: • Skate at your own risk. The skate parks and inline hockey rinks are not supervised. Users assume all risks inherent in the use of these facilities. Use of these facilities may result in serious injury or death. • It is strongly recommended that users wear an approved helmet, knee and elbow pads, and wrist guards. • The hockey rinks are open to inline skaters and roller skaters only. • The skate park is open to skateboarders, inline skaters, and BMX riding only. No other wheeled devices of any kind are allowed within the skate park. Food and drink are not allowed inside the rink areas. Glass, alcohol, and smoking are prohibited. • No stickers, loud music, inappropriate language or actions, or reckless behavior allowed. Rink Features • Memorial and Sherman hockey rinks offer inline skating hockey on concrete in the warmer months. The rinks are NHL-size and have night lighting.

Summer Sand Volleyball League Leagues for coed and women’s teams will be offered starting May 30. Season will be eight weeks with an optional one-day tournament. Rec and Power Teams Divisions offered. Organizational Meeting: Monday, May 8, at 6 p.m. at Morningside C.C. Fee: $75 per team Registration Deadline: Registration and payment due by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 12.

BIKE TRAIL The city of Sioux Falls has over 27 miles of bike trail. The trail system not only takes you on a scenic tour of the City parks system, but it provides a safe and efficient travel option for those wishing to travel the city by bike. The trail system is maintained all year-round and can be used in the winter months. The bike trail system offers residents a perfect opportunity for wellness and fitness opportunities by walking, biking, or blading on paved trails. A map of the trail system can be found at www.siouxfalls.org/bike. DOG OFF-LEASH AREAS Parks and Recreation has three sites available for dog off-leash areas: • Family Park—Located at 300 North Ellis Road, near West 12th Street on the Tea/Ellis Road. The new park amenities include fencing, concrete walkways, irrigated open space, bench seating, shade structures, drinking fountains, dog wash stations, and natural dog play features. • Lien Park—Located on the east side of North Cliff Avenue at the Big Sioux River, approximately one-quarter mile north of the Rice Street and Cliff Avenue intersection. Parking is available. Lien Park will be closed for construction until approximately June 2017. • Spencer Park—Located at 3501 South Cliff Avenue by I-229. This is a permanently fenced dog park with off-street parking available. Rules for usage are posted. Each site has a picnic table, trash receptacle, and plastic bag dispenser for owners to use to pick up after their pets. For more information, call 367-8222. FREE.
