CAPRA accreditation is a distinguished mark of excellence for park and recreation agencies and is a measure of an agency’s overall quality of operation, management, and service to the community. The National Recreation and Park Association research team estimates that there are approximately 14,000 parks and recreation agencies nationwide, of which 1 percent have earned national accreditation. Come to this introductory class on T-ball, where your little one can learn to play the sport, or practice the skills that they already have! We will practice throwing, hitting, and fielding. TOT TIME MIDCO® AQUATIC CENTER RECREATION POOL | #961001 AGES: 2–6 Tot Time is designed for toddlers and other little tikes, six years and younger, who may not be comfortable with the interactive play features. CRAFT TIME AT PLAYGROUP #612001 AGES: 2–6 Once a month, we will be adding a little extra to our playgroup times. In addition to playing and burning some energy, your child will have the opportunity to put together a fun craft. The same craft will be made each month at Kuehn and Morningside Community Centers. Crafts are free while supplies last.

You also have the opportunity to sign up on the first day of swimming lessons if openings for lessons are still available. Indoor Swimming Lessons are $45 per session. HOCKEY RINK SOCCER #493000 AGES: 6–9 Don’t let the title fool you as we bring the game of soccer within the walls of a hockey rink! This fast pace version of soccer is sure to be a high scoring event! The playing surface may be different but the objective remains the same, as each team will try to outscore their opponent. No need to form a team, as we will be playing in a pick-up game format. The only thing you need to bring is a pair of tennis shoes and a positive attitude as we play this old game with a new twist! EARTH DAY EXPLORERS ARROWHEAD PARK | #473001 AGES: 6–12 Get in the spirit of Earth Day by participating in Earth Day Explorers! Studies show that spending time in nature can reduce stress and anxiety and even promote emotional development in children. Participants will participate in an Earth Day service project, craft, and other outdoor-themed activities. Participants must be prepared to spend the day outside, wear closed-toed shoes, and bring a water bottle. Registration required.

RC Soccer is a fun take on the popular game soccer where instead of moving your body to score a goal, you are in the driver seat of a remote control car trying to score a giant ball into a goal! Whether you sign up as a team or sign up to join a team, come prepared to control your very own RC car that will compete with your teammates in a friendly pickup game! Registration required.
PARENT AND ME PICKLEBALL CHALLENGE TERRY REDLIN | #495000 AGES: 6–12 Looking for something fun and competitive, along with a way to bond with your child? Join us for our first ever Parent and Me Pickleball Challenge! This challenge is sure to bring the fun, while you both enjoy one of the fastest growing sports! Pickleball is a fun paddle sport, designed for all ages and skill levels. With simple rules and elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong, the game is easy for beginners but quick and competitive for more experienced players. Join us for a day of Pickleball and put your skills to the test in this bracket format challenge. Ages will be split based on registration numbers. MAP AND COMPASS TREASURE HUNTERS ARROWHEAD PARK | #473003 AGES: 6–11 Will you be able to find the hidden treasure? Through this fun-filled treasure hunting adventure, participants will learn the basics of using a map and compass. Studies have shown that children who understand how to read maps have an increased level of spatial thinking, which is an important problem solving skill.
