50 Meter Pool Water Tightness Test
MIDCOÂŽ AQUATIC CENTER CONSTRUCTION UPDATE Spring2016Volume4 Dear Resident, Spring is finally here! Over the last few winter months, crews have focused their efforts toward interior finishes and pool specific activities including concrete pools and underground piping systems. Interior amenities are taking shape and water tightness tests are being performed on pools in preparation for final pool finishes. Major completion milestones including pool decks and interior wall systems have been reached allowing tile operations to commence. With improving temperatures and weather conditions, exterior construction activities are starting to gain momentum. Construction crews are starting to install brick veneer, metal cladding and aluminum window systems. Just as the interior construction activities progressed through frigid winter months, now it is time for exterior building and site activities to kick into high gear. Parking lot activities including concrete curb, asphalt parking, exterior lighting and final site shaping are scheduled to start in May. Spellerberg Park Improvements Begin Improvements on the north side of the construction site are also under way. New park amenities such as playground equipment, restrooms, basketball courts, volleyball, and picnic shelters will be installed this spring. Landscaping and other park improvements will start this summer. In the interest of public safety a perimeter security fence has been installed to protect the public during the construction of these park improvements. The fence will stay up until the park improvements are complete this fall. As with any construction site, please use caution when approaching construction areas and actively supervise children. Our goal is to send everyone home safely every day. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and patience as we continue construction of your new indoor aquatic center at Spellerberg Park. The Midco Aquatic Center is on schedule to open this fall.
