muyscac ynapuyquyn chiguenynga (we will be multitude)
siri gurudev inspired by the culture of my ancestors, the muiscas, and using the archive of muisca’s handicraft.
note on content
in this book, i’m attempting to relate to the muiscas’ archive through performance at the same time that i try to queer my own ancestry. information about my positionality and the entire process of this piece is available at https://performingoriginscolombia.home.blog/. a digital storytelling version with audio in spanish is also available at the website.
in a faraway galaxy, there was an all mighty source of energy, chiminigagua, pulsating in bright energy.
one day, chiminigagua became too hot!
they released tiny spaceships to spread some warmness (and cool down a little).
the warmth soft touch of the tiny ships caused the space to laugh, talk and shake, creating stars, planets, mountains, rivers, oceans everywhere!
all the newborns started a party in a beautiful lagoon, iguaque.
from the dancing, bachue, the cyborgator, appeared. when they saw the beauty of the universe, they wanted to share.
bachue gave existence to another bachue1 and each of them kept populating the universe by self-reproduction.

after some time of dance, singing, and sharing, bachue decided to retire and rest.
they left behind their feet and hands to keep dancing, and so became a snake.
the serpent went to a quiet place, sua ata, peaceful as the silence of the sleeping universe.
in their solitude, bachue reminded their origin: chiminigagua.
out of wisdom, they became light, and the story of chiminigagua started again.
