Market Update Dramatic increases in median prices continued to be the dominant trend of the Hamptons real estate market during the third quarter of 2014, according to the Long Island Real Estate Report. The overall gain of 30 percent over the same period last year was led by strong performances in Sag Harbor and Bridgehampton at 43 and 23 percent respectively, followed by Southampton and East Hampton at 16 and 13 percent respectively. Changes in total units sold and total dollar volume varied by town and by price point. Total dollar volume gains were posted in the $3 million-to-$5,999,999 and $10 million-and-up ranges. In Southampton, overall total dollar volume rose 22 percent, spurred by a notable 263 percent increase in luxury properties of $10 million and up.
