EVP/COO, Western Region I take great pleasure in presenting the Greater Los Angeles Market Update for the third quarter of 2017. According to the local MLS, robust results for single-family homes in Los Angeles were fueled by an increase in the number of homes sold as well as a rise in median selling price. The number of single-family homes sold rose 9.1% year over year to 1,163 homes sold when compared in the third quarter of 2017. The overall median selling price reached a high of $1.6M, an 8% increase compared to the same time last year. Additionally, the average days on market for single-family homes declined to 88 days in the third quarter of 2017 compared to 90 days in the third quarter of 2016. I hope that you enjoy exploring our quarterly market update and I invite you to discover more information online at sothebyshomes.com. If Sotheby’s International Realty can be of service to you in the sale or purchase of property in California or anywhere else, please call me at (310) 786-1801 so that I may personally introduce you to a local expert.
