A MESSAGE FROM OUR MANAGER: Jeffrey G. Gibson The first quarter of 2014 produced a strong quarter for Marin County real estate sales compared to the first quarter of 2013 according to the Bay Area Real Estate Information Services (BAREIS). The robust market trends of San Francisco continued into Marin County, which demonstrated an increase in sales prices and sales volume. Multiple offers have become common and many homes, particularly those in Ross, Kentfield and Mill Valley, are selling for more than the asking price. The average sales price for single-family homes (SFH) in Marin County increased 30 percent, from $1,057,965 in 2013 to $1,379,210 in 2014. The average sales price in Sausalito increased from $1,573,150 in 2013 to $1,991,584 in 2014 - 27 percent change. The following charts depict market details of Marin County, Sausalito, Mill Valley, Tiburon, Belvedere, Ross and Kentfield.
Marin county MARKET SUMMARY (SFH) Average sales price of single-family homes in Marin County increased 30 percent, from $1,057,965 in the first quarter of 2013 to $1,379,210 in the first quarter of 2014. The total number of sold units decreased three percent, while the number of sold units in the $1-3 million range increased 23 percent. There was a significant jump in the number of sales of homes more than $3 million - from 12 units sold in 2013 to 38 units sold in 2014. The total sales volume in Marin County increased from $454,924,758 in 2013 to $573,751,557 in 2014 - a 26 percent increase.

mill valley SUMMARY (SFH) Mill Valley real estate demonstrated positive market trends in the first quarter of 2014, with an increase in sales price and sales volume. The average sales price of SFH jumped 48 percent - from $1,129,701 in 2013 to $1,675,198 in 2014. The number of sold units in the $1-3 million price range increased from 23 sold units in 2013 to 39 in 2014. The total sales volume in Mill Valley increased from $67,781,050 in 2013 to $102,187,053 in 2014- a 51 percent change. The total sales volume of homes more than $3 million jumped from $7,053,000 in 2013 to $29,399,000 in 2014.

Across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco lies Marin County, an area renowned for its natural beauty. Marin County is home to Muir Woods redwood forest, the Marin Headlands, Stinson Beach, the Point Reyes National Seashore and Mount Tamalpais. Most of the countyâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s population resides on the eastern side, with the interior of the city consisting of large areas of agricultural and open space.
