At the peak of mountains stacked by currency are the partakers of the richest echclasp the world of commerce today. Perceived as royalty-like, these clever heads have long ruled the elon of our society. With wealth as abundant as one can only imagine, these people are deemed as savant of business innovations and financial superintendence. Names like Warren Buffet and Jeff Bezos are only among the household identities of bill-dominant personalities that business industry as methodical as the prepotent of the medieval period. But in their words it is an ancestral map for many aspirants. The hope of meeting success reminiscent of their testimony is an ignition to many business beginners, like Queenie Oamil. A student of
ADRIANNE LORENZO C. CORPUZ business curriculum, Oamil is a bred entrepreneur currently studying in the College of Business, Economics, and Accountancy under the Bachelor of Science in Accountancy program. Her experience in her academic journey can be categorized as extremely constructive for her ideals. For the queen on the rise, the places to rule over are now ready, and it is
her early steps that make her synonymous with the billionaire mentality of the aforementioned names.
THE POWER AND THE BUSINESS
Oamil is recognized as the founder of the “Samgyup Kween.” It is a shop for Korean Barbecue on-thego fanatics. Yet, the symbol of the business only expands from that, as Samgyup Kween’s list of goods are diverse, such as the prominent side dishes complimentary to the main course. While the business seems ultra simplistic, every subsisting detail expresses otherwise. The dedication it requires implies an abstract beauty of time and financial management, both of which she exemplified gloriously. The business’ geographical invasion is also a witness of its own magnitude. For Oamil, Samgyup Kween is not just a big and ambitious business proposition, it is also a region-covering venture with the aim of becoming the biggest “samgyup” business in Ilocandia. The current scope? Samgyup Kween provides products in Batac City, Badoc, Bangui, Dingras, Laoag City, Marcos, and Solsona. Oamil also detailed that her business supplies certain samgyup dine-in shops in the province. Seemingly progressive, she cleared that Samgyup Kween is just encountering its baby steps, or a small dent of what is already planned for the succeeding path. “I envisioned this business to last as long as my drive to run it last. I am geared with long-term vision, and luckily I have the motivation to pair this business with my future aspirations. For me, this business, or any business in particular, does not rely solely on its longevity, but also enduring your part as the mind of the business to sustain its significance even in the presence of determining factors such as time.” In the jungle of business industry, to construct a conventional idea is conventional itself, but to execute this idea, is viewed as even more conventional. Samgyup Kween is a great thought in and of itself, but the power connects to Oamil’s exceptional execution of foundational steps that made the business surge. FAMILIAR INSPIRATIONS
From one light to another, passion is ignited by a kindle of inspiration. For the young owner, her abstraction of business is an outturn of a chain-reaction swayed by her parents. Passed in influences from what she considers as people of extreme significance, this power-centric mentality of Samgyup Kween is inspired by evident business deeds. Family to family, her mother showed her how capable a driven person can be. Owning a meat shop situated in their hometown, Paoay, her parents appreciably clouted the purpose of profit-driven operations. Continuously, the theme of familiarity runs in the pillar of the business. Oamil remarked that it is an untold responsibility to inflict the positive influence of the business to her family, even within the next generations.
CONSCIENTIOUS DNA
Outside the familiar faces, overt business names and top dogs are bright sources of counselling for the
business. Among the popular lavish personalities, Oamil is often hinted at by Elon Musk, the looming prime mover of notable companies. She is invested in comprehending the words of Tesla's astute leader, and among many successful startup stories of various momentous organizations. When asked if there is an obvious significance of knowing the stories of such minds, Oamil aptly responded, “Yes, running a business is not just a simple trick of magic and luck. There should be a solid, foundational basis on which you can resonate the teachings from the acclaimed businessmen themselves, your own personal propositions, and the environment, along with the people you want to work for. These, among many more unmentioned, are the crucial factors in handling businesses. I am certain that in order for one to be a conquering business individual, you need to acquaint yourself with these recurring business concepts and theories. Part of me is eager to acquire these lessons, either by reading books, biographies, memoirs, testimonies, and the like, or by learning by gathering first-hand information myself. Fundamentally, improving your state as a business owner means improving your mental aptitude.” A trait can not only be bonded by blood, or by the magnitude of time. For the itching mind, jumbled letters debossed in multiple sheets of paper are dependable paths for inspiration. This is the gist of the bookish pondering of the Samgyup Kween founder herself.
BORDERLESS SIGNIFICANCE
In a subsequent world of layered authorities, the Samgyup Kween founder’s unfaltering rise as a businesswoman and a student is a dignified symbol of borderless significance. It is her valiant effort to multitask that made the financial stride to be successful. From the dreadful task of waking up at dawn, and endlessly studying until midnight, her ascendancy as an owner is an inclined encouragement for many. The sound of having an emerging business may inflict delightful perceptions for the students, but for Oamil, her actions that built her achievements should serve as an invitation for every young entrepreneur and businessmen to fall in love with the undertakings of their chosen path. Oamil messaged, “Your age should not dictate what you can achieve. A little progress each day adds up to big results. Don’t let anyone hold you down and stay focused on your own plate until you’re done. There are a lot of opportunities out there, but if no one will open their doors, create one.” Nevertheless, there are no age implications when it comes to managing a business, or a dream. While
what a student does is the most important for her own good, it is also when one steps out of their box that they can find the greatest opportunities. Ironically, Samgyup Kween, a shop founded by the student, is among the rare group of flourishing commercial names that sponsored the 2022 Miss University pageantry. Certainly, when talking about growing influence, Oamil understands the statements exceptionally well.
BUSINESS IS ALWAYS IN ALL WAYS
Business in nature is an ever-expansive venture of innovation. The main idea is the direction, and the action shall be proved righteous by the owner. For Samgyup Kween, the notion of retaining its current spot is sacrilegious, for the envisioned path of this business was never to be stagnant. Of course, there is the ever-present possibility of confronting obstacles, yet, for Oamil and her Samgyup Kween, business is always the stronghold of hopeful vision and inventive strategies. There is this rapid coalescence of trend, obsolescence, and inconsistent supplication of goods in the world of business, and as already expected, Oamil is ready to brace these challenges. For instance, the contemporary pull of the Korean market emphasised the upswing demand for “Samgyup” products, but when the time deems the strong trend irrelevant, Samgyup Kween is armed with additional ideas to retain their impressive growth. This is attributed to other meat products, such as smoked goods, and the like. Oamil easily shrugs off the idea of being irrelevant by saying, “It is natural to anticipate the scenario wherein there could be a lot of conflicting factors in running your business. From the books, articles, biographies, there is this common factor of business enthusiasts’ suggestions, that building, running, maintaining, and improving your business will never be a smooth sailing ride. From that, as an aspiring owner myself, I kind of built my expectations to the possible inclusion of challenges that may bring detrimental impacts to my business. Fortunately, these things made me understand that in every challenge, hides a foundational lesson that will improve my business. For that matter, I can say that there are still no crucial challenges that I can consider detrimental to me and to Samgyup Kween. However, when an instance of meeting these challenges will arise, I am extremely prepared to interpret these obstacles for the benefit of growth and development.” Hardships may come, but for Samgyup Kween, the obstructions, challenges, and obstacles all look the same; stepping stones for the business in all ways.
