In September 2013 we opened the doors of our new Boarding Residence. We have acquired a former hotel, situated on the School`s second San Roque Campus, which has fantastic views to the sea and the mountains, and is surrounded by golf courses. Students now enjoy accommodation in large bedrooms, with ensuite bathrooms. They have access to large communal areas, including TV rooms, study, gymnasium, large swimming pool, basketball court and a kitchen area where they can prepare their own snacks and drinks. There is full wireless internet access in all rooms, and students can study either in their rooms or in the study library. The full boarding environment encourages a firm sense of community and helps to develop friendships that will be sustained and be sustaining in life beyond time spent at school. Our students come to us from all over the world, and particularly those
who board with us.The chance to live and work alongside people from varied backgrounds and countries is a genuine privilege. We believe that the boarding experience at SIS provides the framework for developing independence and learning to live with others. Pupils learn to treat each other and all members of the community with kindness, sensitivity and respect. The Residence is staffed by the Director of Residential Life, his wife, and a team of dedicated supervisors who interact with the students in many different activities during the week and at weekends. There is a growing programme of exciting activities and sports which include both day and boarding students, further prospering the interconnectivity of all our students. Many students fly in and out of MĂĄlaga, and we provide transport to and from the airport at the beginning and end of each term and half term. We aim to look after our students from the moment they arrive until they leave.
