The guest house in Alambi was originally built by a boat captain as a family retirement residence. In 2004, Alambi was acquired by Fabián Luna, who had worked in ecotourism for several years. The visitors and the experiences they shared with him inspired Fabián to preserve the forest and promote its conservation.
