Chairman’s Message Welcome to Cork Craft Month 2015 It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Cork Craft Month on behalf of the board and members of Cork Craft and Design. Now in its seventh year our growing craft festival spans both the city and county with an abundance of talented craftspeople using their ingenuity and skills to produce exquisite craft products. We invite you to join with us in celebrating the diversity of craft available to view, buy and experience in Cork. 2016 is an important year for craft in Cork. Cork Craft & Design are developing, with the help of our funders in the Local Enterprise Offices and the Cork County Council, a new headquarters for our organisation and a craft outlet in St Patricks Woolen Mills, Douglas , Co. Cork. This marks an important milestone in the strategy to support of small craft enterprises in Cork and we are very excited to be at the heart of this growth. Cork Craft Month is not just a celebration of craft and its people, it’s also a vehicle to help ensure that we continue to preserve, encourage and nurture the special skills of the people working in the craft sector in Ireland today. All craftwork contains a very valuable ingredient, time: we hope that you will take some of your precious time, to attend our exhibitions, workshops, open studio days and retail outlets during Craft Month. I can assure you, it will be time well spent. With best regards, Tony Farrell - Woodturner Chairman of Cork Craft and Design 2016 For more information on any of the

Ronan designs and creates custom cabinetry for example Alcove and Television Units, Bookcases, Libraries, Home Office, Dressers, Bedroom Furniture, Tables, Chairs and Kitchens. All designed and built to fit perfectly into your home. Over many years as a Woodworker my passion for wood has never waned, “from the trees it comes from to the creations within their timbers”. It has been a long journey of embracing, rejecting and fine tuning from a wide range of influences to create my own style of today which is the best of the Traditional Irish Farmhouse while fully embracing the contemporary.
