As part of the new Reimagining Downtown project, the City of Garden Grove will be partnering with a team of landscape architecture master’s students and faculty from Cal Poly Pomona’s award-winning 606 Studio. They will be developing a vision plan that addresses two primary goals for the City of Garden Grove: 1) increased mobility for pedestrians and cyclists for residents and visitors via Class I (path), II (lane) or III (route) facilities (or alternate), 2) the creation of a “garden” and “grove” design palette that will both create a brand for Garden Grove as well as provide a distinct character for the Civic Center District and surrounding areas. Both aspects of the project will address adjacent natural, cultural, and economic resources, including the multicultural character of the community. This vision plan will balance the access and recreational needs of residents and visitors with the needs of business owners (especially in the downtown area) to increase opportunities for business deve
