Mister Rogers experienced red-green color blindness, the most common form of color blindness. One day, he asked a co-worker to taste the soup he brought for lunch and tell him if it was pea or tomato soup. When asked why, he responded that if it were tomato soup he would add sugar to it.

In total, nearly 900 episodes of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood were produced. This beloved television show, like many other classics, first aired in black and white before it was broadcast in color.
