There is a saying that goes those who don’t know their past are doomed to repeat it and if the racing community doesn’t get it’s act together and understand the bigger picture, men are once again going to get angus beefed with no grease. It’s hard to see the same derelict faces who got the fraternity in the morass it’s in be at the helm of the ship that is supposed to get us out. As Racers/ Enthusiasts - street, track, serious, casual, part-time or in between the time has come to put the SPORT first because we only get one more chance at this. The short term “ah just want to race” mentality has been something existing for YEARS and as gratifying as it is to jump and spread out; the racing community has to begin to think long-term. The Sixth is grounded in speed; that’s where this magazine came out from. We KNOW about running from police beating on the cross for racing and it needs to happen where the community has to come together and really take that stand as a collective. Many have come and driven deep wedges in an effort to divide and conquer but the sport is still here despite and the reason for that is motorsport is BIGGER than any one person. Anyways; outside that preamble, it’s AWESOME to see guys left and right looking to do some kind of project to jump een the dance. The riding scene is on another level but what’s has taken off even more is the drift and sport bike stuntin’. However an observation is that while the scene is getting bigger it seems that the pool of real enthusiasts seems to be getting smaller. Men seem to be in this thing for glamor, show, the need to fit in, who have money or rank - all wrong reasons. Speed happens to be the cool thing to do right now; aside from stance - it’s trending. Personally I not happy about that; but, the good thing about trends is that because they lack substance the pretenders usually tend to fade of into the sunset rather quickly. This goodly gentleman other is VERY consistent in the amount of puerile he spits. Once again; Stephen Cadiz has earned his way here AHEAD of Arrive Alive, Surju Rambachan, Anthony Carmona, Susan Mohammed, , CNC 3 (drag racing coverage) and Stacy Roopnarine. Why you ask? Simple. It was his outright uninformed contribution on the Motor Vehicle Bill. Hefty here wants to curb road accidents by making it illegal to have any OPEN alcohol container in the front seat, as well as making sure drivers have a Zero Blood Alcohol Level. Apparently Stephen Cadiz didn’t do biology because he would know that the Human body makes alcohol naturally - so smarty pants here want to make being human against the law - niceeee. RALLY
TRINIDAD
As always TTRC (Trinidad & Tobago Rally Club) brought down the hizzz-ouse with the staging of 2015 Rally Trinidad. Having competitors flying flags from Barbados, Guyana, UK and Ireland this year’s edition was off the goat rope. Now a staple; the special babagreen stage at the Hasley Crawford Stadium stage was first. Even though 29 teams were scheduled to run, a few had pregameday mechanical issues including Team Flower Time (Colin Khan / Richard Ramsingh A Subaru Impreza), but before the mass of anti lag let loose; there was a sick drift display by Trinidad & Tobago Drift Association featuring Kerry Phillip (DWO), Roger Hutcheon, Devon Bartholomew and Imran Khan. Illmatic is the word to describe the slidefest was especially when it went to tandem style, then came Kristian Boodoosingh who pounded the course with a circuit car that showed zero percent body roll. On a short course with no traction he was still able to pop, lock and slip it just to showoff driver skill. After his run; it was out and bad for the rally competitors who each put on quite a show; road to rafters. By the end of the event a few cars saw beans and stars with slips, skids and scars - Team 555 Subaru (Gobin Mahadeo/ Chris Ackee); yup the Impreza with anti lag that makes blood bleed had engine problems, Team Kamakazi (James Harris / Andre Nestor) had cradle damage on his Rover 200, (2) Teams basically took wrong turns on the course and got spanked with penalties and closing out was David Coelho/ Harris in the Evo IX which hit a curb in a fit of concrete jealousy and sustained damage to a control arm and brake disc mere feet from the course finish. Lucky for him the service crew was able to burn oil and sort out the damage overnight. Who made it thru Friday was thrown into Day 2 on Saturday where the pace continued in the Reform and Bronte gravel stages at Tarouba. Mechanical hics and car for cups was normal and seemed to affect most everybody to the point where by the end of the day there were only 10 teams left standing. Besides nut and bolt issues like Wayne Archer / Derek Edwards - Peugeot 206 who snapped a clutch cable early or Craig Sumair who blew out a turbo hose.

Matters we made worse when the rains had the Bronte slicker than coconut oiled jerry curls. Surinam’s Radj Pershad / Mukesh Mallian in the Impreza got stuck pon de roadside and was almost cleared away by endless men including the Central Speed Lancer GSR (Junior Phillips/ Michael Heerah) which later went on have iron giant issues. But while the 4WD men were seeing pressure, the RWD guys shined somewhat in the sapatay and eating up the mud was Paul Fitzgerald / Josh Plaza - Ford Escort MKII; Frank Kelly / Robert Cadiz Ford Escort MKII; Shane McGirr / Jackie Elliot - Toyota Starlet. After lunch the decision to cancel that stage came into effect since no traction and no brakes made no sense and with all the runs now taking place at Reform while many made it, some didn’t - Jamaica’s Joel Jackson Impreza tried to chop down a tree and Ryan Pinhero broke a windscreen - twice; don’t ask. Sun-day 3 was hot, dusty, windy and dry, but while choking on nature wasn’t much fun; watching car yam thru the stages in Milton and Preysal was. From the beginning a few had problems but who was able to holdon, held on to the last in order to a) finish and b) take part in the close out SS stage that had men kicking up stone; sailing over jumps and diving into dirt donuts - normal. We SWEAR anymore air time from the cars who made it special for the crowd and civil aviation would have shut the place down. And just for the record while the sound of boost and anti was nice, it’s nothing to compare to the screaming of a NA across the plains under level rpm - you need NA and an Escort in your life. Before
graduating to the big leagues most men start of the life with something old. For Lyndon Edwards it was a box Lancer with level HKS parts that he bought from one of the foundation representing the south land - Kenneth Best. After doing a build over on the Sirius and bolting up an Evo3 conch, the Lancer was barking men up and down corn stalk like a broko foot ‘guana in Celebs. That was until a bad ting pass thru the camp and the car caught fire. Sour couldn’t even begin to describe the feelings when it was smoke and flames, so he scrapped the engine and ended up selling the whole car to a guy who came originally to buy just the engine alone. Life continued, pickney fall the mix and soon Lyndon needed something for the fam but peppy; come in a bone stock automatic VR4. Now it was supposed to be an Evo but after doing the maths, pen to paper showed it was cheaper for him to touch up a VR. Since speed men don’t waste time, Lyndo started the minglements with an Aeromotive FPR and Walbro 255 fuel pump. The soft hoses for the intercooler setup were changed out for 2 1/2 in hard pipes thru and thru. Lined up by Lyndon it
was Bert Ali at Blue Coral who put in the welds alongside the Evo 7 intercooler. The exhaust was upgraded to full 3in from downpipe straight out by Specialist Muffler who also had a hand in revising the custom extractor manifold by Mikey from Point. Dialing in the little mods was done via ECU flashing and the digital assassin was none other than Gerrard Best. With the power the VR was now getting it wasn’t long before the tiptronic tranny collapsed in a Drag & Wind event and had to change. Another trans, some meth and a boost controller that was leaking, Best was able to dig 256hp x 293lb*tq from the twin TD04-9B turbos. Eventually Lyndon got fedup of the tiptronic (not surprised) and installed a complete stock VR4 manual setup; from gearbox to diff. Engine mounts and bushings went to polyurethane and clutch to a Competition Clutch stage 3 kit. With the already down the bobo with the spruced up the uspension with fully adjustable Buddy Club coilovers; brakes were bused up to Evo 7 with Project Mu pads and to make sure contact was on point the 5-Zigen ProRacer GN+ were consumed with Maxxis 245/40/18 Z3 tires. Under it all the VR was able to
manage 13.2 and for 12 months it ruled until Lyndon changed out the (2) TD’s for a GT35R with a .63 backend. The aim, keep throttle response tight and with Best tuning, the GT was able to yield 370hp x 340lb*tq on 17psi boost; but at this level the 360CCs were maxxed. A trip to Tuner Imports, (6) 1000CC IDs and a retune later had the Galant bull wukking the stables with 390hp x 370lb*tq at 20psi. However some ignition issues cropped up and the VR was only able to run 17psi but with that managed a 12.1. When the spark was sorted out, traction issues became most prevalent especially when the boost was raised and the car put out 430HP@6500rpm / 398lb*tq@4700rpm at 24psi. To improve traction a 3 port solenoid that’s ECU controlled was installed and with that Lyndon crossed out another goal, which was getting the car into 11’s on the stock engine - he did 11.7 on the 1/4. Now, you would think that Lyndon eats thru transfercase likes bhac-chac on fresh leaf but that is far from since he has yet to break one (proper launching technique) and not to get it twisted; the VR, with cold breeze is just as potent on the street with many Scoobies getting snacked on like perras when they feel is all that. Yum.

I don’t care what anyone says; a traffic ticket is nothing more than legalized extortion. There is absolutely NOTHING that you can say in order to convince me otherwise, so save your breath. In the dictionary, extortion is defined as forcing someone into giving you something through threats. When applied to what is a ticket, I was taken aback as to how perfect it lined up. I have never met anyone who was willing and joyous to pay a ticket especially if it was unjustified. And in this day and age I understand that the governments need fast money and what better way to raise funds than to shake down citizens using the ONE authority that MOST people won’t challenge i.e. the Police via a justice system that is virtually unchallengeable. Now, I am quite sure in your mind you think that fines are GREAT; I am just being overly dramatic, hell bring more; after all fines deter people from breaking the law, will help reduce recklessness and therein saves lives in the long run.

Here I am; a law breaker, according to certain circles NOT causing what they say I should be causing through actions. The intended purpose of a traffic ticket is to change human behavior through financial consequence. That’s it. But if you think about it, does the fear of being charged really prevent people from doing something “wrong” or motivate them into doing the “right” thing. I going to say nope; and if it does the change is not meaningful - it’s in the moment thereby making it superficial, which as we all know is as pointless as a using a sheet of wet 1 ply toilet paper after a diarrhea. Humans are irrational creatures by design and the only way to shape and influence someone’s behavior for the better is through a better design of the system. If someone is going down the wrong path, he doesn’t need motivation to speed him up, he need education to turn him around. But yet still this doesn’t happen, we spend more money to hand out tickets than we do to educate people and I always ask myself whyyyyyy? Then I am brought back to the fact that tickets make quick and easy money. And it’s even easier to tax a person who literally doesn’t know he or she may/ may not be breaking some law. Ever get pulled over; tell the officer you genuinely had no idea and he say you should have known better. How? Many of the traffic laws are not even taught when going for your license. Did you know that the driving lights that come standard on new vehicles are legal to import but unauthorized by the transport commissioner and are therefore illegal to have? Instant ticket.
Putting aside the fact that many laws are trivial, outdated and ridiculous; what you fail to see is that at ANY given time EVERYBODY is breaking some automotive law.
Well, sorry to disappoint but that is classic cola BS with condense milk on top. If you look at it, those statements are mostly said by people who either benefit in some way from the system, have an agenda or don’t know jack. What’s even weirder is that the very said individuals use words such as carnage, criminals, bad drivers, decay of society, necessary, interest in public safety, deterrent to crime, lawlessness to hype up things to where stuff is blown way out of context and you are winded up. By the end you’re so far gone into thinking that all these fines are great for society, that you accept it as being for the greater good. Not only that but they are SOLELY given to bad deserving bad drivers who are the ones who kill people by breaking the law.
Putting aside the fact that many laws are trivial, outdated and ridiculous; what you fail to see is that at ANY given time EVERYBODY is breaking some automotive law. Recently I heard the police; actually it was Arrive Alive, say that if you don’t want to pay the fines or go to jail; then don’t break the law. Really - most insane organization whom I detest. How can a person not break a law when there are so much and many of the laws are set at an unrealistic level to begin with - it’s 100% GUARANTEED. Bet you never looked at it like that huh; you criminal. When it comes to the road EVERYBODY is afoul of the law in some fashion - yes EVERYBODY, I mean c’mon you really feel that out of 476+ pages that constitutes the Road and Traffic Act; YOU, the self proclaimed law abiding citizen is not doing anything wrong- sometime. The amount of things you can be charged for is immense. And the beautiful part is, with so much laws on the books, your chances of being caught and charged for something even though it might be frivolous is technically GREATER. And just so you can have an idea; I drive above the limit ALL the time; I don’t indicate when changing lanes all the time, I have overtaken on the left, I have engaged in NUMEROUS trials of speed on public roads, there are stickers on my car, the glass is tinted, my exhaust is loudish, I have left my vehicle unattended on the side of the highway to go buy a roti, I have driven with tires below the recommended depth which can give the police the right to charge me under having a defective vehicle and the list can go on. Like I have said many times before I am a consummate law breaker. But the weird thing is that despite all these infringments, in 20+ years of driving all the time, I have never gotten into an accident nor have I ever caused one. How is that possible? Am I
It’s sad, but we live in a system that CREATES the madness and then looks to financially punish the elements created by the insanity for doing the insanity. And to make it WORSE; fines in Trinbago went up recently, so now you can be charged MORE for not knowing. Like I said it’s brilliant; if licks with a belt doesn’t work, go get a piece of iron. Ticket prices are INSANE and making it outright disgusting is that the system is designed in such a way that no matter how you turn, you WILL pay it upfront, in the middle or down at the end. Don’t believe me, go get a ticket it’s not that hard; refuse to pay, go to court, endure the process and you will understand EXACTLY where I am coming from thereafter. Steups; the more I talk about this the more infuriated I feel especially when my mind rumbles on the fact that the dent in your pocket lies at the sole discretion of the person who’s supposed to protect and serve. Imagine, that enforcer has your wallet in the balance and you can either beg for a chance or put up a just challenge. Odds are if you challenge you will be held hostage on the side of the road while the fines just keep racking up to put you in place. And the fines are NOT cheap; their are charges for certain infringements that are more than some people make in a month; how could that ever be right OR make any sense? And out of all the money that’s generated in charging people; you realize that NONE goes back into the driving system to make it better. It is however used to hire more police officers and warders who in turn get to give out more tickets and thus get more revenue. What if rather than financially hit someone across their chest with a bill that’s unfair and unrealistic, why not implement community service as a fixed penalty - make folks give back in a meaningful way to society. Time these days is more valuable than money and I know if it was me I would HATE to spend my days off cleaning up a beach or river - God forbid if it’s Caura after a curry duck and chutney lime.

ONE OF THE
problems we have at the sixth is that our imagination is very frivilous, so when we saw this Evo for the second time first, there were (3) things that came to mind. Smallies with Amins across their chest; the magic dust you can get lock up for and Snow White with the 7 dwarfs - then we began to wonder; what if. What if Snow White didn’t really fall asleep becasue of yamming down on an apple full of obeah. What if Snow White was really a peppermint burner that had people passing out like hungry soldiers in an early morning hot sun because of the G’s that is layered pon the system. What if Snow White was really a baddis that could make straight road wine and bend over in two lick and a gouti look back split. What if........ Is long time Gideon Budhooram having the 4G tabanca which manifested itself big time after a trip to AWD Motorsport in Miami to visit his sister. There he saw Evo’s by the pile and heap; making the urge to get one and represent ever so greater. As he touch back Trini, searching and phonecalls carried him to Tobago where he saw an Evo7 owned by Sprog. Forged pistons, rods, Garrett turbo, 460HP - this was the apple in his eye he was searching for, paisaar pass one time and it was back Trinidad to live up and have a time. Because of it’s bright yellow color the car used to be called “Big Bird” and was a tack-tack on the babagreen especially at the Munroe Road Air Strip. Since Gideon was fresh on the scene he caught real men off guard and despite the fear of breaking transfer case always in the back of his mind, he put belly first and from aside blade pass like a full pelau plate. The deeper he got into the life the more he wanted out of the car but finding someone to extract it was proving to be a bit problematic. But like the foundation say when God cyar come he does send a man and that yute was Gerard Best who served two roles; advisor and tuner. Since the stock Evo ECU could be remapped, Gerrard and Gidz spent level hours road tuning to get the lines right for the combination of parts he had. But for where the car was and for what Gideon wanted it still wasn’t enough and before long the ideas of a full on build came into the dance. Not knowing what to do as things can get confusing in the Evo world, Gideon once again turned to Best for advice. At the time everybody was stroking out to 2.3 but Gerrard felt it best (see what we did there) to stay 2.0L BUT go with a build that included longer rods and can swing more RPM. Now that they had some kind of direction it was time to get started. Labtoy aka Randolph Scott was the man to put thing together and during the course of 1 year it was pure congo pepper for the team toting beam with cream. The car was fully scrapped; parts began arriving like deportees and going at pot spoon pace. The stock head was douglarized with a Stage 3 port & polish, 1mm oversized intake & exhaust valves, Kiggly Racing hydraulic lifters, GSC S2 camshafts, GSC Beehive titanium springs & retainers and HKS cam gears. Down in the block Randolph dealt in Manley ‘Turbo Touch” Billet crankshaft, Manley 156mm H beam rods, Manley Pistons, AMS balance shaft delete kit, Tomei oil control baffle and to pull nut to meg ARP main and head studs. Jamming the block on the stock intake side was a Full Blown 70mm throttle body whereas on the exhaust side there was a Full Race exhaust manifold which was shanked with a Precision 6766 dual ball bearing turbo with a .63 backend. Boost pressure was cramped using a TiAL blowoff and 44mm wastegate. To bring down the charge temperatures Labtoy dropped in an ETS kit which came complete with piping and ETS 24”x11”x4” bar and plate intercooler. The VP C16 accelerant fueling the 4G starts with a system that is actually a 2 in 1 combo - 1 for street and 1 for track. For the street it’s just from the tank thru a walbro 255 and up the road. For the track on the other hand, once the switch is made, rather from the tank, fuel is now pulled directly from a RCI 4 gallon cell using (2) Bosch 044 fuel pumps. With gas

The Point Lisas Industrial Port Development Corporation Limited pansion of Proposed ex
The Point Lisas Industrial Port Development Corporation Limited (PLIPDECO) was established, some forty eight years ago, through an initiative of the South Chamber of Industry and Commerce (now The Energy Chamber of Trinidad and Tobago). The Corporation has two lines of business – Port Operations and Industrial Real Estate Management. The Port of Point Lisas was initially constructed to support the anticipated needs of the industrial estate, and is now the Port of choice for imports to and exports from Trinidad and Tobago. The rapid growth of the Industrial Estate reached a plateau in 2008 when one hundred and three (103) tenants were accommodated. These tenants who called the estate home comprised major manufacturers of products ranging from ammonia, methanol, urea and steel to small manufacturers and service type industries. In like manner, the Port of Point Lisas is one of Trinidad and Tobago’s main container and general cargo ports, which handles 47% of the country’s domestic container trade and approximately 90% of the country’s break-bulk cargo. PLIPDECO’s thrust to promote world-class facilities at both the Port and Estate is evident in its overall performance over the years. More recently, its focus has been to strengthen its corporate strategies through the execution of a number of initiatives. Greater emphasis has been placed on

critical prerequisites to fully operationalize this Port expansion. Completion of this phase is projected for the end of 2015. PLIPDECO also plans to expand its industrial lines of business to ensure that the Corporation keeps current with the service needs of its existing and potential customer base. transforming the Corporation into being more “results driven”. This was attained by focussing on human resource development, performance management, security and health safety and the environment (HSE). The success of these initiatives is hinged on full employee engagement and commitment. Cognizant of global dynamics including the shift in demand by emerging economies and the anticipated 2015 expansion of the Panama Canal, the Corporation is geared to pursue another level of productivity to secure its sustainability. PLIPDECO has charted its development blueprint for the future. Its confidence has been bolstered by the signing of a partial scope agreement between the Governments of Trinidad and Tobago and Panama in 2013. Over the next decade, the Corporation plans to construct six additional berths, on a phased basis. These berths will accommodate the larger classes of vessels deployed as a result of the Canal’s expansion. Additionally, this would facilitate increased local and regional demand for domestic and trans-shipment cargo. The first phase of development is earmarked to commence with the construction of two (2) berths, with supporting infrastructure and equipment. The dredging of the channel and widening of the turning basin are
Given that the tenanted estate is at full capacity, undeveloped lands have already been identified for expansion. Having built significant competencies in providing industrial estate services, the Corporation fully intends to capitalize on this strength. Apart from industrial entities, a fully integrated logistics centre has been envisaged to facilitate our diverse range of stakeholders. In this regard, the Corporation has introduced a Less Than Container Load Export Initiative, which will allow increase intra-regional trade between Trinidad and Tobago and other countries. The nature of the industries that operate on the estate requires that PLIPDECO ensures that there is a strong focus on health, safety and environment (HSE). PLIPDECO will continue to strengthen its HSE as well as its security capabilities and the related management systems that will define the way PLIPDECO does business with all its stakeholders. The Corporation therefore remains committed to delivering added value to its stakeholders. w e have ALWAYS loved a van project for the simple reason they defy the norm and it’s definitely NOT something you see everyday. Think about it. When last have you seen something long like a mango with performance; and while cars are cool? And what is sicker than having something that was designed to tote load vamp up the streets with clay block in the back and still have the ability to blaze man from a side like a horse pee soaked guava whip that was baking on a rusty sheet of galvanise. Don’t be afraid to use the words NEVER and NOTHING kids. Rishi Birbal is a man after our own heart and his ground up bull wuk Mazda B1600 is madder than a brushing cutlass in a razor grass field. With the van life in his veins, Rishi started with another B1600 that rocked a RB25DET, air ride, GT35, TiAL 38mm, GReddy intake, NOS, Surf diff and a few other knick knacks here and there. However, the thing about that project was it’s shakiness under pace and it was more built for show as opposed to go. No happy with that, he eventually sold it in order to come again proper.
Then it happened. The moment in time during the spatial continuum where the dark matter of the universe produces a residual terminal tear in the cranial cortex. He ketch a vaps!
With everything now gone, doing it proper meant starting over from scratch and in order to do that he needed to find another base; which he did, but the condition of that next chassis can only be described as pure brokodong. Shakedown to the hilt, Rishi scored a proper cab/ tray combo in the bamboo by HyperFas and dropped everything by a garage to start the transformation. Sad to say progress was slow to start since Rishi was consumed with other projects he had in the making - yes kid’s Rishi was one ah dem. So the van just sat there for a few years; yes year, lonely, neglected and almost forgotten until 2011 when he eventually moved it from under cobweb to jump things off. After mounting the new cab onto the tray, the B16 went in to one of the sickest fab shops in Trinidad - Blue Coral Racing, to do something that gave us LEVEL chess bun. See;

Whether you like it or not DRIVING is effin’ STRESSFUL. You hadda deal with terrible drivers, nonsensical laws, the police, traffic wardens, horrid road conditions, gridlock traffic, and the list goes on and on and on. No joke, the amount of things your brain has to process out there on the road is insane especially when you compare it to the good old days. We have said it time and time again; driving is risky. From then to now the balance of risk while driving has shifted from the car to other things; moreso the driver. Cars have gotten “better” in terms of design, safety features, structural composition and more, so all things being equal the risk of being hurt in a crash and it being the car’s fault has technically gone down. Note we said technically eh, airbags, seatbelts and the like can still damage you. But even with “better cars”, we still have drivers/ riders who suck due to poor overall training and development.

The Damage. Ever hear the foundation say that stress is buss pipe - well; that statement is VERY true. Stress; if left to run wild will deal with you. In fact as the road is getting harder, it’s well noted that driving stress kills more people than road “accidents”. How is that possible you might ask? Well stress indirectly causes many things to mash you up e.g high blood pressure, insomnia, digestive problems, heart disease and more. You may not take it on but when you experience tension on the road your body releases hormones (Noradrenaline and adrenaline) into your bloodstream. A little science class here. Both these hormones are responsible for the fight or flight feeling, so in traffic when your brain sends out the SOS; look trouble ahead, your heart rate increases, blood pressure goes up, blood fats are released and you feel charged or on edge. If a lion is running you down being amped like this is a good thing because not only will you get that scramble boost of energy and heightened abilities but more importantly you are in a position to burn it off. However if you can’t burn off the sudden build up your body is producing, it’s going to damage your heart and harden your arteries. Look as it like a surge or energy suddenly meeting a brick wall.
A real driver is supposed to know, understand and embrace the fact that a car is an extension of the driver and once you’re under pain it will reflect in your driving performance.
In addition to that our ability to cope with the congestion brought on by more cars being on the road and the irrationality of their owners has not improved - it’s actually worse. Humans by nature are not designed to cope with traffic and it goes without saying that because of that non coping mechanism the stress levels people are going to experience out on the babagreen is going to go up. More stress not only increases your risk of doing stupidity while driving but, it is LITERALLY detrimental to your health.
So what is stress. To us at the sixth stress is pure pressure and level pain; but, at very basic level stress is a description of your personal state of mind and defines a lack of balance between the demands placed on a person and his/ her ability to cope. It may not be apparent but people who are stressed especially on the road feel as if they are owed something; that the world revolves around them. If something happens they are always the victim and usually focus their attention on trying to resist outside factors that might be affecting them e.g other drivers; a person gives a stressed driver a bad drive and they are quick to lash out; they don’t get what THEY want on the road and they throw a tantrum. Now, the opposite of a non stressed driver is one who doesn’t take on much and reacts to things in a totally different manner; usually they accept the circumstances which they are in, they take responsibility for their own actions and the focus their energy on directing their own inner strengths to bring about and maintain the personal state they want e.g non stressed Frank might bounce up traffic but rather than act out he accepts the situation, realize that he can’t do anything about it; might turn up the music and go thru the paces. The essence of stress management; and you need to learn this, is achieved by either avoiding events on the road that’s going to stress you out OR adopting effective countermeasures to deal with the STRESS when it comes up. By no means is stress limited to driving eh, every situation that you can’t cope with in this life effectively brings on the pain and adds to the coal pot; work, family, money, your boss. On the road it’s traffic, noise, horns, heat, discomfort e.g AC not wukkin, monotony and the list goes on. When stress comes in the dance there are certain indicators that pop up to to let you know what time it is e.g you may begin to feel tired, head might start to hurt, you may get anxious, feel clustered and irritable. Mind you this is the short list of what happens in the here. Stay stressed long enough and it will do some serious damage to
Don’t believe us huh? Okay. Take stock of yourself when you’re in a traffic jam you FEEL aggressive, angry, bad like crab. What happens as the road clears - you feel the urge to vent. So you do and after a quick blast to burn off the aggression you are back to normal and take it down. Like a Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde moment, once you get it out of your system you’re back on the ground. Another thing about unrelieved stress is that it fights down your immune system which you need to fight off illness. People who are on the road and can’t cope with the harshness get sick more often because their bodies just ain’t able and not only is the damage physical but psychological as well. Like we said before; by nature, humans are NOT designed for traffic or the therapy that comes along with being on the road. Today, drivers are exposed to more than they have ever been and with all that drivers are face with out there you can understand why men AND women always frustrated and drive that way. Just to drive home the point of how road stress can deal with you, it was found that many drivers (UK Study), especially overly aggressive ones showed signs of accelerated heart disease and strain on the kidneys. Imagine that for some, a single trip raised their cholesterol levels by amounts equalled to yamming a weekends worth of KFC. And if you think that driver stress affects only drivers you’re wrong as well. Passengers involved in crashes arising out of terrible driving also see pain, it was discovered that those who hadn’t been directly injured suffered to the same the degree that those who had.
Stress breeds Stress. Because you don’t see stress and many of the molasses in “authority” can’t connect the dots; it’s often overlooked as being one of the key direct factors in a person crashing. Stress INCREASES the likelihood of being involved in a vehicle decimation simply because it affects your judgement and severely

As the boys got older we went from having 1 car around (an escor t that my husband got from his dad who died) to four; the escor t; 2 Silvias and the R32 Skyline That’s crazy; four cars - sorry we couldn’t help it carry on. LOL. While heading to an event to have some fun something broke in one of the Silvias, so my husband came back home and took the Skyline. I was home cooking, preparing to meet him at the track when he called and said “Come and drive, the crowd not that big - hurry up!” Well I

However life took a bite out of the old Spermster when he got slap with some divorce papers. Brakes, Halt, Stop, Do not pass go all came at once to put some strain on the system and with that Spermie took a backseat for a while; but like they say you can’t hold good sperm back. Cutting thru the thick to overcome, Spermie ressurected with a more or less stock 2007 Suzuki GSX-R 1000 and did some simple boltons i.e. swing arm extension and a power commander. The other fiercely shaking the earth with V8 power and showing the youth they have to know their place and understand there is no replacement for Nitrous-ed displacement. And the self tuned lone shark that carried the wankel flag in a day where it was considered taboo by the masses and the performance potential of the rotary cried down by men who yam nothing but parrot bottom. Kids, dry off dem hands and hold dem hearts - this is the Monster reloaded. Sean Ready is diehard rotary from longtime and anybody who is everybody knows that he had a RX2 sinking the soil with a bridgeport 13B, 51 IDA webers, Racing Beat clutch and 4:4 diff. This setup was good enough to get him into 11’s but surprise, surprise; that wasn’t enough, so Sean made the decision to stop playing and go all out or nothing. Allout required a shell
