Medium: 35 mm film | Date: 02/17 This photo was taken during the night of a protest, right before the group took to the streets. It is a part of a series of fifteen photos taken on this date. The goal of this photo is to capture all the chaos at the time. The movement of the photo heightens this. However, through the positioning of the hands, the structure within the chaos can be seen. It is also important to note the conformity of the hands. How they are all reaching towards the same goal, and how they are all clenched fists.

The model of this photo requested to be photographed in celebration: it was the first time I had seen her in almost a year. However, little did I know that it would also be the last time I would see her for another year. The darkness mimics the subject.

The eye, staring up at an unseen subject, draws attention to the blood shot viens. The glitter, scattered like freckles, blends in with the subjectâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s skin. The pure intensity of their gaze, mixed with the frivility of the glitter, allows for the viewer to grasp the many feelings the subject gave into on this monumental day.

This photo was taken on the shore of York, Maine in late July. It was the annual blood moon, and it took over the sky. The red of the moon was completely natural, not manipulated in any way.

This photo was taken in the aftermath of a baseball game loss. The subject was angry and mid-scream at the time of this photo. Their home team just lost one o the most important games of the season. The darkness contrasts with the colors in the background very nicely, as a way to convey the vibrance of the emotions of the subject to the auidience.

The honeybee, hard at work, pays no mind to the camera. Rather, it is intensly focused on the task at hand. The depth effect applied in the taking of this photograph mimics the pure concentration of the bee. The lens is focused on the flower, the othe rbees in the back simply another blur.

Itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s too late. By the time you look up, the tiger already saw you. You are caught. The vibrance of the colors in this image was intentional. The bright green of the tigerâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s eyes is the focal point of this image. It was taken during a trip to the Franklin Park Zoo in Boston, Massachusetts in late April 2016. Most of the other animals were hidden in their burrows during this time, since it was still so cold. But not the tiger. He sat out, watching everything.

At three weeks old, this new born child was the perfect model. She slept most of the time, allowing me to take as many photos as I needed. However, I found that the best photo from the shoot ended up being the one taken right at the moment she was waking up. The movement of her hands, the expression on her face, everything was captured perfectly at this moment. A second later, she started crying.

This simple image was taken for no reason other than to capture the moment spring finally sprung. The flowers, a stark contrast to the stems and background, all stand tall. There is a structured chaos in this image, which can be seen through the varying shadows and highlights that can be seen in this image. This picture was taken in York, Maine during late May. These flowers, which were purple in color, were in a bunch along the coast with the ocean as the backdrop. I decided to not include the ocean in this shot because of how expansive the image is without it already. Adding it in would take away from the key focus of the flowers.

The subject was struggling with her diet. She recently broke up with her boyfriend, and couldnâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t eat. She had no appitite. She had lost fifteen pounds in under a month, and felt like she was wasting away. I asked permission to capture her struggle as best I could, and she agreed. The greasy hair, the way her collar bone juts out, and the hollows of her cheeks are all fighting to be the main focal point in this image.
