St. John’s Vancouver Things happening in the life of our church and in our community May 5, 2019

What’s up at St. John’s WELCOME SATAR’S!!!

LEARNERS’ EXCHANGE

After three years of waiting, the Satar’s, our sponsored family from Afghanistan (via India), have arrived in Vancouver. They are in the process of moving into their apartment, getting registered for school, and many of the other first steps of living in Canada.

Every Sunday in the Café Room at 9:00 am, Learners’ Exchange offers stimulating speakers and engaging discussions.

As most of you are aware, St. John’s is responsible for providing financial support for their first year in Canada. We expect the total cost of support will be close to $45,000. So far this year we have received $5,000 in donations to the Refugee Fund. We ask that you prayerfully consider a special offering to St. John’s Refugee Fund.
