What’s up at St. John’s WELCOME TO STEVE JAMES

FLOWERS

This morning, at the 10:00 am service, our guest preacher is Rev. Steve James.

The flowers on the altar today are given to the Glory of God and in loving memory of Patricia Myhill-Jones from her son, Richard and all the Myhill-Jones family.

Steve and Rachel were part of St. John’s 20 years ago. You may remember Steve as a man of music who deeply loves Christ and communicates the gospel both winsomely and effectively. It is a pleaseure to welcome them both.

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDIES

FINANCIAL UPDATE TO MAY 31 Offerings to May 31 Annual 2019 Offerings Budget

$689, 325 $2,225,000

We are grateful to God for your generosity to the ministries of St. John’s. As of May 31 we have received 31% of the offerings that we budgeted for in 2019. Ideally, we would have recieved 41% of our budgeted offerings so that our giving and our regular ministry expenses are more in sync. As summer comes, and many of you take holidays, please plan to cotinue with your regular offerings. Please contact Krista Friebel at the church office if you have any questions.

Are you interested in being part of a women’s bible study in the fall? This fall there will be studies both in the day and in the evening. Registration is now open on the website (sjvan.org/women). Registration will be open until the end of June and will re-open at the beginning of September as space allows.

ASK YOURSELF THIS 1. Do you want to further the mission of the church through your work? 2. Are you interested in gaining skills and knowledge of the nonprofit charity sector? 3. Do people often comment on your amazing ability to organize? Bonus Question Is “The Checklist Manifesto” on your list of top 20 books? If you answered yes to these questions you should definitely consider applying for the Administrative Specialist job at St. John’s. For details go to sjvan.org/jobs
