What’s up at St. John’s ARE YOU NEWISH?

LEARNERS’ EXCHANGE

We are running the Newcomer Sessions for anyone who considers themselves new to our church. We’ll cover a different topic each week and talk about what it means to be part of St. John’s. Each course will have a small cohort, providing participants with the opportunity to know one another over the four weeks.

Every Sunday in the Café Room at 9:00 am, Learners’ Exchange offers stimulating speakers and engaging discussions.

The course will run from November 3 to 24 after the 11:00 am service. We’ll meet together for an hour and a half with lunch and childcare provided. We have a limited number of spaces, so please register online if you’d like to attend. Registration will close mid-day, Thursday, October 31. If this session doesn’t work there will be another one early next year. We look forward to getting to know you! CONDOLENCES Bob Upton passed away peacefully on Oct 19. If you’re not familiar with the work of Artizo, this is your opportunity to find out how God’s word is faithfully passed from one generation to the next, and how preachers become preachers of the gospel! The event will be a wonderful casual time to catch up with current and past apprentices, and to meet our incoming first-year apprentices personally – and learn how you can pray for them and support them. We warmly invite you and really hope to see you there. Prayer Points Women: Pray we would grow in love and humility before God and each other as we lead and learn together each week! Praise – the women’s ministry conference in South Africa that Jan, Bron, and Irena were at went really well. The women were hungry to learn and were a racially mixed group, which was a huge answer to prayer! Pray for health and safe travels home for Jan, Bron, and Irena. Youth: Please pray that new youth would find their home in St. John’s Vancouver youth.
