INFORMATION: Steve moved to the Valley in 1943 at 5 years old to grow up on a dairy farm with 3 generations of Schuhs. He always knew he would farm. Susan joined his dream in 1963 when they were married. Their two children Jennifer and Andy now farm along with Steve and Susan on their 300 acre fresh market farm.

Schuh Farms sells directly to the consumer from the farm store, 11 farmers markets, 1 berry stand and wholesale to other produce stands and restaurants. We now grow a long list of fruits and veggies – flowers too!

He got a good sun tan that year waiting for customers. After a few years of growth his wife Mary Louise, an architect, noticed that Mike had the winters off and she did not, so she quit architecting and joined the business. It grew some more.

Then their youngest son Vico graduated from college and worked a couple of years for a big organic grower, but Snow Goose stole him back along with his wife Erika, they represent the second generation and now run Snow Goose Produce. Now they all run the place, except for Mike who looks after the chickens.

We farm the long strip where the farm stand is located and a few acres at the home farm, five minutes away, raising organically all the seasonal vegetables and a few oddballs as well. The stand is full of other good stuff too: organic eggs, artisan cheeses, wine, craft beers, fish, crab, oysters, jams, sauces, fresh baked goods—you get the picture. Also, we’re famous for our immodest ice cream cones.

From I-5 South: Take exit 231 (Bow-Edison, Chuckanut Dr./ Hwy. 11). Cross over the freeway heading north on Hwy. 11.

Go approx. 6.5 miles and turn right on Bow Hill Rd. Look for the big red barn and farm store on your right in about .8 miles.

From I-5 North: Take exit 236 (Bow Hill Rd.). Turn right over the freeway and head west down Bow Hill Rd. for about 3.25 miles. Look for the big red barn & farm store on your left.
