Highlighting our April sale is the Cadle Collection: Don and Inge Cadle began collecting rugs in the late 1960s, and while their collecting interests were varied and deep, they focused primarily on Turkish, Caucasian, and Southwest Persian rugs, paired with an abiding affection for early Chinese rugs.
The auction’s additional 260 rugs and carpets include Anatolian kilims, a number of early Caucasian and Northwest Persian rugs, a generous selection of excellent condition 19th century Persian “workshop” rugs and decorative carpets, and a number of wonderful Turkoman rugs and Central Asian embroideries, including a rare “animal-tree” engsi.
