Highlights from the sale include many excellent jades and textiles. Outstanding examples in these two areas are the large pair of spinach green jade archaic covered vessels and an Imperial mid-night blue robe. Several important Han and Tang dynasty pottery pieces are a large Han prancing horse, and a rare, small Tang flask. Another strong area in the sale are fine examples of Korean ceramics including an exceptional dragon vase. Other highlights include a fine early Thanka and a Qianlong celestial vase. Among Japanese works offered are two exquisite cloisonné vases from the Ando and Hayashi workshops, as well as a pair of Meiji period mixed metal vases.
