SKY Armory shined in all aspects of hosting our wedding reception - from the early stages of planning through the very end of the night. The standouts were the decor and food, both of which were customized with helpful guidance by the staff who did an excellent job respecting our budget and tastes. Most importantly during the planning stages, they made suggestions as to how we could shape the menu, bar offerings, cocktail hour, decor, etc. down to every last detail if we wanted to, without any pressure to add any costs we didn't think necessary. There we no inflexible "packages" or "tiers." The featuring of local food and beverage was a highlight for us and our guests as well. You may be wondering what we mean by a 'faux' cake - it's the fancy way of saying 'fake' (it just sounds better in French) What we really mean is that the bottom tiers of the 2, 3, and 4 tier cakes are styrofoam finished with frosting or fondant to look like they are real. The top"cutting' tier is real and the layer the couple cuts together to feed to each other. In our Skyline package we offer a cutting cake which is a 1 tier cake that is the real deal and the perfect size for the couple to cut. We are happy create a traditional wedding cake where all the layers are real for an additional $4/person.
