1.Accept it’s over
Accepting the situation will help you let go. Just don’t be too hard on yourself; take it one day at a time. If you have to block your ex everywhere, throw away the gifts he gave you, then do so; don't fall back into a toxic situation that doesn't serve you.
2.Lean into your feelings
It’s okay to cry, sis; wear oversized sweatshirts, sleep in, eat junk food. Allow yourself to express your feelings and let it all out. Just be careful not to stay in this stage for too long. Let it out and move on - there are plenty of fish in the sea!
3.Speak to Someone
Venting to a friend, sister, aunty or mum, anyone you feel safe around and is willing to listen. Say everything you want, good and bad; it's okay. Your girlfriends will hold you down. We got you sis.
4.Keep Yourself Busy
Doing anything to get out of your head during a breakup is a good idea. That's why this is the perfect time to create a new routine; hanging around with friends and having a workout session cause fitness releases endorphins, so you'll feel happier ASAP.
5.Self Love
It's time to get your post-break-up glow up! From eating well to feeling good and even looking good. Take time to care for yourself every day (check out pg 16 & 17 of ways to show love yourself), and you never know, it might end up in your own revenge body!
