ME N D E D Welcome to MENDED and thank you for gathering with us this evening. The SLCC Dance Company is comprised of 14 student dancers and as a collective is committed to being a positive force across our many campuses and in our community. MENDED was inspired by a passion for using our artistry to write and re-write narratives. Many of tonight’s performers, like many of you, had the rug pulled out from under them while preparing for our concert in the spring. We have since mended ourselves together as a unit to breathe new life into the performance you’ll see tonight. You’ll witness our shared journey of struggle, determination, celebration and unity. We deeply appreciate your support, as your very presence tonight gives us energy and encouragement to continue to nurture creative work and togetherness. Our hope is that you will enjoy the show, dance along and feel our gratitude for the opportunity to connect with you in this special way. ~Whitney Harris, Director
