MOTIVATIONLETTER

Dear Esteemed SLEMSA Members,

I am honored to introduce myself as Adesola Goodness Jegede, a fifth-year medical student and a passionate member of the SLEMSA community. Today, I am thrilled to announce my candidacy for the position of Vice President in our esteemed organization.

Looking back on my journey with SLEMSA, I feel an immense sense of gratitude and a strong sense of purpose. My passion for the organization started when I first entered medical school and was inspired by the professionalism and expertise of its members. I was captivated by the opportunities for personal and professional growth, as well as the potential to make a significant impact on healthcare in our communities.

I began my involvement in SCORE, later transitioning to SCOME, where I have had the honor of serving as National Officer for the past year. This experience has allowed me to participate in and organize various activities, serve on numerous committees, and interact with the brilliant minds that constitute SLEMSA. I have witnessed the extraordinary potential of our organization and firmly believe that we can achieve even more.

Recently, as Vice-chair of Finance in the African Regional Meeting, I collaborated with sister organizations and experienced the profound impact of our dedicated collective efforts. This experience has taught me the value of forging relationships and partnerships, and I am eager to bring this mindset to the Vice President role.

I am committed to working closely with all SLEMSA members, providing opportunities for learning, professional development, and personal growth through workshops, seminars, and training sessions on diverse topics such as leadership, teamwork, communication, and conflict resolution. Furthermore, I pledge to listen to the needs and concerns of each member and foster an open environment where everyone's voice is heard and valued.

Central to my campaign is the belief that every SLEMSA member has a unique contribution to offer. By embracing diversity and promoting inclusion, we can
