MOTIVATION LETTER
Fellow SLEMSians, I know the role of a leader comes with enormous task, therefore demanding extra from you as a leader. It comes with; selflessness, dedication, hard work, wisdom, bravery, trust, injustice transparency and passion to serve. The will of a man is the highest form of ability to do something. I have the willingness to serve SLEMSians.
I am Samuel Sahr Kellie, a final year part 1 medical student. I have been a dedicated, hard working, and result oriented leader, whose track record is clean because I believe in integrity in service. I have contributed immensely in ensuring that SLEMSA is recognized, valued and admired both nationally and internationally. It comes effortlessly because I have the organization at heart.
Growing up I have been a leader in and outside school. I believe in creating positive impacts in the lives of people because it gives me joy. I also believe in transformation, but in the right direction. Prior to my admission into medical school, I served as financial secretary of the Ebola task force team that was set up in my constituency, I went on to be an Independent Monitor for Western Rural Area under Save the Children. As a medical student, I have also served as Deputy Minister of Finance of the Students’ Representative Council (COMAHS) under the RE-RIGHT Journey. I am currently the financial secretary and acting treasurer of my church and the Public Relation Officer of Health Focus Arena. All these positions I have served effectively with integrity and accountability.
Since I became a member of SLEMSA, in 2017, I have been actively and consistently serving the association in different capacities; as volunteer, as an appointee and as an elected official. I have served as class coordinator under SCOME for online teaching sessions in 2020, I have served as director of logistics during the 7th National General Assembly (NGA), and currently serving as the National Public Health Officer (NPO) of SLEMSA. I have served with diligence,
acumen befitting the stature. It is with my tention to run for the position as ‘Treasurer’. I cial management and networking, this is the ribute in a decisive position to build on the I therefore implore SLEMSians to support me

I believe the treasurer office is very decisive in the building and breaking of an entity, therefore knowledge in financial policies will be both technical and radica vision of sustainable developm following strategies:

5. I will ensure that 10% of all funds generated from events organized by any Organizing Committee goes into SLEMSA account.

7. It is SLEMSians right to know how their money is spent. Therefore, I will create a data base to update SLEMSians quarterly about our monetary transaction (both income and expenses).
8. I will ensure that I effectively monitor and motivate the progress of each class ambassador so they can deliver efficiently in a timely manner.
9. As someone who is particular about integrity in service, all documents (receipts, MOU/Agreement) that has to do with financing will be recorded and kept in archive for reporting and handing over ceremony.
