Design Project 3 Portable Camping Kitchen

Project Summary

This project is about designing a portable camping kitchen which enable to prepare a meal for two persons for one night camping at a remote area, who are camping partners. And I’m the person who responsible of cooking one meal for both of us and I have to carry the portable camping kitchen by myself. Providing water and shelter are responsibles of my camping partner.

In my project first I researched on food preparation methods and requirements related to camping night as well as the maximum weight that I can carry comfortably according to my weight And then I calculated the quantities of ingredients want to eat both of us. After that I calculated the weight of the utensils that want to prepare, serve and eat the meal ( get the light weight utensils such as bamboo plates, cups etc). Further, I considering about the wind and the lighting wants when preparing and eating because it is a camping night.

Using waterproof materials and comfortable size ,shape, textures and weight designed my portable camping kitchen backpack. I selected cama green and black colour as the colour of the backpack which doesn’t disturb to the animals in the jungle. Finally I could design a comfortable portable camping kitchen with all important requirements and successfully finished my task.
