Welcome to Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church. Today is the Annual Parish Meeting at 10:00 in the church. We will be electing: • Five new Vestry members serving three year terms • Three delegates and alternates to the Diocesan Convention to serve three year terms • Five new Trustees for the Saint Michael and All Angels Foundation serving six year terms. The meeting will also have reports from the Senior Warden, the Rector Search and Transition Committee, and the Treasurer. There will be activities for children and youth in the Youth Center, and the 11:00 Rite I worship service will be in Saint Michael Chapel. Lent

The Wednesday Experience: Eat • Pray Hear some of the most famous stories ever told Wednesday evening March 2 beginning at 6:15 in the church. Frank Runyeon will perform Luke’s travel narratives – the Prodigal Son, the Good Samaritan, and more – in an evening that is entertaining and eye-opening. It’s an event for the entire family and friends.

Lent Meditation Booklet Available. The Daily Lent

Meditation booklet is available at several locations throughout the church. The meditations are written by Saint Michael clergy and parishioners. The meditations also are available online at www.saintmichael.org.

Last Days for North Dallas Shared Ministries Month. Today and tomorrow are the last days to contribute food items or money during our February drive to support the North Dallas Shared Ministries. Fill a grocery bag and bring it to the South Lanai or give a check to the receptionist. Your generosity means less fortunate will get food for their families. Prime Timers to Hear Miss Texas Judge. Grab your sash and tiara and prepare to be entertained by former Miss Texas judge, Janet Sue Rush. She will tell what goes on”behind the scenes” at the Miss Texas Pageant, the ins and outs of being a judge, and grooming a contestant to walk down the aisle as a winner. Our meeting is March 3 at 10:30 in the Coke Activities Room. Cost is $10 which includes lunch. Call Mary Davis at 214-3637761 with your reservation. The deadline is today. Easter Flower Memorials. If you would like to remember a loved one this Easter, fill out one of the Flower Memorial envelopes enclosed in the worship bulletin with the names of those you want to honor either in Memory or Thanksgiving and return it with your check by Sunday, March 21. Flower Memorial envelopes are also available at the reception desk. Deliver Easter Flowers to Homebound Parishioners. We need volunteers to deliver Easter Flowers to the homebound on Easter Sunday, March 27. Complete your Easter celebration and create a tradition by delivering flowers to those who are unable to attend worship services at the Church. The Men of Saint Michael will retreat to the Lantana Resort on Lake Ray Roberts April 8 - 10. Led by The Rt. Rev. Jeff Fisher, Bishop Suffragan of the Diocese of Texas and Vicar Bill Murray the retreat will build bonds, plan future activities, and rejuvenate faith. The $300 fee includes meals, accommodations, and the program. Register with Julia Giles at jgiles@ saintmichael.org. Jubilee Park’s Mother-Daughter Tea Planned for March 5. Celebrate Women’s History Month at the annual Mother-Daughter Tea at the Jubilee Park Community Center March 5. The tea, with lunch, craft stations, and a photo booth, will be from 12:00 – 2:00. Volunteers are needed from 10:30 – 2:30 to provide food and supplies and help with set-up and serving. The women of Honduras Threads are skilled artisans and Saint Michael missioners are teaching them business skills enabling them to move from informal co-ops to an association recognized by the Honduran government. The Saint Michael Extended Care Cooks prepare a meal for parishioners who are ill, just home from the hospital, or are suffering some kind of loss. Princeton Theologian to be Distinguished Lecturer March 13. Dr. Clifton Black, renown preacher and Professor of Biblical Theology at Princeton Theological Seminary will talk about “The Lord’s Prayer” at Saint Michael’s Distinguished Lecture Series on Sunday March 13. At 10:00 in Parish Hall, Dr. Black will use the Lord’s Prayer to examine “Who is God for Us,” and at the 12:30 reservations only luncheon he will address “Who are We Before God.” Make reservations for the luncheon at www.saintmichael.org/dls-reservation.
