Followers of Christ, Spreading God’s Love

Welcome to Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church. Today we formally welcome Justin Brooks as Director of Modern Worship Music. He will concentrate his efforts this summer on the 11:11 Celebration service and getting the Parish Hall ready for the fall worship schedule. We appreciate you worshiping with us today and hope you’ll make it a weekly habit. Saint Michael 101 – An Introduction to Our Church for Newcomers. Newcomers interested in joining our church should attend the Saint Michael 101 dinner on Sunday, September 24. It is the perfect opportunity to explore membership, meet clergy and Vestry members, and learn about our many ministries, opportunities for involvement, and exciting future. If you have friends or neighbors who should be members of Saint Michael, get September 24 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on their calendar. Childcare will be available. Follow the Saint Michael Pilgrimage of St. Paul’s Missionary Ministry. The Saint Michael Pilgrimage following the ministry of St. Paul is nearing its end. The group returns on Thursday. They have visited Rome, Athens, and Corinth, and will tour the islands of Mykonos and Santorini, and Malta where Paul was ship wrecked. The Rector blogs the pilgrimage’s daily activities, along with pictures, which are available at saintmichael.org/pilgrimage. Stock the Pantry of Our New Assistant Youth Director. Chase Monson, Assistant Youth Director, will be moving to Dallas later this month to begin his Saint Michael ministry. Let’s give him a big welcome and help stock the pantry of his new home (young men need all the help they can get). Bring simple non-perishable items to the Youth Center offices on the 2nd floor by Sunday, July 16. Nominations Open for Church Leadership Positions. Nominations are being accepted through Friday, August 18 for positions on the Church Vestry and Diocesan Convention delegation. The election will be held at a called Parish Meeting on Sunday, October 29. Five new Vestry members will be elected as will three delegates to serve at the fall convention. They will begin their terms in January, 2018.

Feed The Spirit. Find Your +1. Build The Future. As was announced in early June, the Clergy and Vestry have outlined the direction of the parish during the next 18 months. This process, which began at the Vestry Retreat in March, continues to be tweaked and edited to ensure the work taking place will have the greatest impact on Saint Michael. While the Vestry, Clergy, and staff are working on the roadmaps that will define the work to do, we wanted to share with you the logo that will be used each time you see something related to this important work.
