WELCOME TO SAINT MICHAEL AND ALL ANGELS EPISCOPAL CHURCH. We are honored today to have The Rt. Rev. Henry Parsley, Bishop of Alabama (ret.) to preach and confirm new members at worship services in the church. Bishop Parsley currently is the Provisional Bishop of Diocese of Easton in Maryland. He also served seven years as Chancellor of the University of the South, Sewanee, our Episcopal university. Thank you for worshiping with us today. Do it often! Armed Forces Members. Tonight we will honor our Veterans and members of our Armed Forces at a special worship service at 5:30 in the church. Following the service, there will be a Reception of Gratitude in the Garden Cloister where we can say “Thank You” for their service to our country. The Heritage Brass Band, a group of vets, will play favorite military anthems and marches. Join us to honor these heroes.

United Thank Offering Boxes Available. The United Thank Offering In-gathering will be next Sunday at all worship services. Collection Boxes are still available throughout the church. Coordinated by the Women of Saint Michael, the UTO encourages us to make daily gifts in thanks for our blessings. Take a United Thanks Offering box home, and as a family give in thanks. SMU Concert Choirs Open Saint Michael Presents Season Thursday. Three choirs from Southern Methodist University will combine to perform the holiday-themed concert, Home, at the opening of the Saint Michael Presents season on Thursday, November 12 at 7:00. The performance, including orchestra, will explore the spiritual and physical places we call “Home.” The concert is free to the public. Tickets, at no charge, will be necessary to assure adequate seating. Tickets are available online at www.saintmichael.org/saintmichaelpresents or the south lanai reception desk.

Growing up, I took Saint Michael for granted. I assumed all churches were as large and lively and all church goers as involved and generous. I assumed that wherever I went, a Saint Michael would be waiting. However, in my years away from Dallas I found that the spirit of this place is unique. It is irreplaceable. That’s what keeps me coming back. Katie Webb Your stewardship dollars makes Saint Michael “unique” and “irreplaceable.” Be generous!
