WELCOME TO SAINT MICHAEL AND ALL ANGELS EPISCOPAL CHURCH. Today we welcome Dr. Amy-Jill Levine, professor of New Testament and Jewish Studies at Vanderbilt University, as our Distinguished Lecturer at 10:00 in Parish Hall. Later this morning our Children and Family Ministries will gather the grocery bags we’ve collected and deliver them to North Dallas Shared Ministries. We will continue to collect food through the month, so fill a bag and bring it to the South Lanai. Thank you for worshiping with us today. New Bishop Consecrated in Services Saturday. The Rt. Rev. Dr. George Sumner was consecrated as the seventh Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas in ceremonies yesterday. Presiding Bishop Michael Curry was one of three consecrators. Saint Michael’s music director, James Diaz, was organist for the ceremony and his composition “Go Forth Into the World in Peace” was performed by the Consecration Choir. Parishioners Tony Briggle and Gayle Kesinger served as primary coordinators of the program. Lifeline: Dallas, an 11th Step Event.
