Takoma Metro station is finally poised to be transformed (take action, by June 14)

After decades, a plan to transform the Takoma Metro station from a surface parking lot into a thriving hub with mixed-income homes, a park, a plaza with retail, and vibrant green space is finally moving forward. The station area will also add better walking, biking, and transit facilities. Unfortunately, this is still a hotly contested proposal so be sure to voice your support!

Downtown and K Street Transitway: the way forward (statement, op-ed)

People-oriented places are key to revitalizing downtown, especially walking/biking, outdoor cafes, parks, plazas, and the arts (our op-ed, “The answer to a more vibrant downtown D.C.? Not more cars.“)As a part of this, the K Street Transitway, which is now a sterile road project, should be restored into a green boulevard with a streetscape for walking, transit, and bike lanes.
