He will talk about titles such as Henry Hikes To Fitchburg and Henry Climbs a Mountain and will draw for the children. This program is part of the month long series of events for Concord Reads and is being sponsored by the Friends of the Concord Free Public Library.
This program is perfect for children age 5 years and up who are interested in learning in a basic way a little about what Henry David Thoreau did while living in Concord.

Seen A Bluebird? Have you seen a bluebird in your neighborhood? If so, they are undoubtedly hard pressed looking for a nesting site. In recent years most nesting locations in knot holes in trees are at a premium with competition with imported aggressive English (house) sparrows. Bluebirds will quickly accept manmade boxes for their specific requirements - namely a floor roughly 4½” x 4½”, with an entrance home 1½” set 6” above the floor. The box should have ventilation holes on the sides or front, just under the roof overhang.

He came to the shelter told everyone he was Irish Catholic and when asked about my name he said “Cat.” So the volunteers gave me an Irish name in his honor for rescuing me. I am as gentle as I am big and I love to get tummy rubs and don’t mind being held. The only thing I do mind is not having a purrmanent home. If you’re looking for a lovebug, then you found your cat. Please be sure to have a big bed for me to snuggle in and I’ll be in heaven. All cats have been spayed/neutered and are up to date on shots.
