Hi, my name is Michelena. I'm sure you've noticed my unique moosh-face by now, and it makes me look like a bit of a grouch, but I'm really not! I'm approximately 6 years old and healthy. I am extremely friendly so long as there isn't another purrson creeping into our space. I even like to be held when I'm calm, and it will feel like your arms are draped around pure luxury and LOVE! What I'm trying to say is that I'm SO SOFT! Nobody is softer than me so I prefer to be the only cat, in a calm home where I'm allowed to slink around your legs while you walk, sleep on you at night and decorate your windowsills during the day as I gaze at the great outdoors. All perfect moments to brush my curly bib because I do need grooming, but can you blame me?! Come on, let's go on a spa day together!... before you take me home furrever. The CCC is in need of supplies, especially litter (Scoop Away), bleach, laundry detergent, dry and wet cat and kitten food (Purina/Friskies), paper towels, trash bags, and treats! Any help is very much appreciated!
happy & healthy May these most valuable gifts be yours this holiday season.

Mistletoe Mistletoe is hung in doorways, and couples who stand beneath are encouraged to share a kiss. The tradition of hanging it in the house goes back to the times of the ancient Druids. Mistletoe was thought to bring good luck to a household and ward off evil spirits. The custom of kissing under mistletoe can be traced to England. Originally, a berry was picked from the sprig of mistletoe before the person could be kissed. When all the berries had gone, there could be no more kissing.

Don’t Get Snowed Under This Christmas: Tips to Spend Wisely
always evolving. To get you started, they have narrowed down a few tech-savvy ways to streamline and save this season.
(StatePoint) Even after setting a holiday budget, the most wonderful time of year is often the most expensive. Experts say that this Christmas, there are new ways to make your dollar go further.
• Browser Extensions: Forty-six percent of all holiday shopping occurs online, according to WeAreTop10, so, do your share of it wisely. Whether you use Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari or Firefox as your internet browser, there are sites you can visit to add an extension to your searching power. It’s like adding an additional search box which will know to look for the best deals out there whenever you are shopping online and compare prices side-by-side, cutting out some of the legwork for you. Some well-known examples are PriceBlink, The Camelizer and InvisibleHand.
“The days of clipping coupons may be out of style, but finding ways to save money never is,” says Michael McAuliffe, president of Family Credit Management. “From in-store apps to price trackers, new tech tools can help. The experts at Family Credit Management are encouraging consumers to research their moneysaving options, as technology is
• Coupon Apps: Mobile apps such as Coupon Sherpa, SnipSnap and Yowza, enable you to scan items while you’re in-store and find the best value coupons on the spot. • Price Drop Alert Trackers: Eightyfour percent of Americans plan to check Amazon before looking or buying elsewhere, according to the Accenture Holiday Shopping Survey. Don’t make the mistake of assuming Amazon is the beall-and-end-all for saving. Prices drop all the time, especially around Christmas. But, how can you keep track of who is dropping them and when? With a tracker app, you can tell the app what to look for and it will notify you when your wanted items drop in price. IFTTT (If This Then That), camelcamelcamel and Price Tracker for Amazon will keep

an eye on prices for you to make sure you’re the first to see the best deals. • Credit Card Points/Discounts: Credit cards can encourage overspending, but when used carefully and within budget, offer certain advantages. For example, store-specific credit cards often offer special discounts, kickbacks and coupons for cardholders. Just think how you could double up on the savings by using some of the above tools, as well as by purchasing with a card with added bonuses. Remember though, that any savings you earn will quickly be eaten up if you pay interest charges. To avoid this trap, never use a credit card unless you can pay the entire balance in full each month. Also, think very carefully about opening a new account, as this can negatively affect your credit. More holiday shopping, spending and saving tips can be found at familycredit.org.
To ALL our Readers, As we approach the holiday season and people all over the world get into the merrymaking mood, please take time to celebrate the joy and warmth of the season. Fill your heart with new hope as we approach the New Year. Now is a wonderful time for all of us at the Smart Shopper to say thank you to all who have touched our lives. Thank you to all who have made this paper successful every time you say, "I saw it in the Smart Shopper". Without your support, there would be no paper. Have a safe and happy holiday season!
