You cannot halt aging, but new research shows you may be able to curb the muscle loss that comes with getting older. A new clinical study showed that daily supplementation with the super antioxidant, Pycnogenol (pic-nojen-all), improved muscle function and endurance and reduced some of the symptoms accompanying muscle loss. “I’ve recommended Pycnogenol to my patients for years as a natural extract for healthy aging, and as an important building block of wellness. This research builds on those findings,” says Dr. Lamm.
Pycnogenol is one of the most researched ingredients on the market, and decades of research demonstrate the benefits of this natural extract for cognitive support, joint health, and skin health that all contribute to an overall healthier self as we age. It’s available in more than 700 dietary supplements, multi-vitamins and health products worldwide. For more information, visit pycnogenol.com. Muscle maintenance is a key to healthy aging. Luckily, there are many steps you can take to prevent muscle loss and stay strong through the years.

Security in an insecure world (BPT) - The year 2016 was devastating for some safe deposit box holders. In New York, thieves cut holes in the roofs of three banks and brazenly emptied hundreds of safe deposit boxes, leaving the victims' pillaged boxes on the roof and strewn around the vault. A stealthier thief in Florida picked safe deposit boxes in several banks, emptying the contents without damaging the box or leaving any visible sign of the theft. These are not isolated incidents. On average, there are between 15-18 robberies or burglaries involving bank vaults every year according to the FBI. Millions of dollars of jewelry, cash, gold and family heirlooms are stolen, leaving devastated box holders dealing with unrecoverable losses. Still the safest Despite these occurrences, law

OK this is the deal....I come home with you and be your friend. You give me plenty of treats and pets. I will be great company for you and look handsome for you to admire. You look after me and keep me safe and well. I'm around 7 years old as far as I can tell so I'm not a mad kitten. You are a loving human with plenty of sunny spots in your house. How's about that for an offer you can't refuse?! I really need my kind person to turn up now because I've been here a while and I'm ready to move on. I'm such a friendly boy but I'm getting cranky being here. I NEED YOU. Love, Fluffy The CCC is in need of volunteers for both morning and afternoon shifts, 7 days a week. We are also in need of supplies, especially litter (Scoop Away), bleach, laundry detergent, dry and wet cat and kitten food (Purina/Friskies), paper towels, trash bags, and treats! Any help is very much appreciated! We are located at 289 Thompson Road in Webster and are open Thursday through Sunday 12pm-3:30pm. You can see more of our adoptable cats on Petfinder and Adopt-a-pet and we would love it if you would follow us and share our kitties on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com /pages/Community-Cat Connection/18375625177438. Most dental benefits cover preventive care visits twice a year with no out-of-pocket costs, and these visits are important for small children. Baby teeth, (also known as primary teeth), play an important role in a child’s overall healthy development. If cavities begin and are left untreated, they can become painful and possibly infected. • Propane tanks are constructed of heavy steel and are specially painted with a mastic coating to prevent corrosion. Environmentally friendly, a propane tank will typically last for 30 to 40 years. • Single-family homes can be fueled by tanks of varying sizes, depending on demand. Smaller 100-gallon tanks provide energy for appliances, while 1,000+ gallon tanks can fuel very large homes with additional energy demands, such as swimming pools, hot tubs, outdoor kitchens, and patio lighting. Generally, 500-gallon tanks easily accommodate an average four-bedroom home. • Once installed, underground tanks are scarcely noticeable except for filling connections and valves which are housed in a small dome protruding just inches above the ground. Standard landscaping is often done around the dome and over the spot where the tank is buried. • Can be installed FREE of charge. Certain restrictions apply.

Do you suffer from a longevity disconnect? (BPT) - They say that age is just a number. For the 10,000 who reach retirement age every day, however, that number may come with a multitude of questions about whether they have done enough to prepare for retirement. The good news is that Americans today are living longer than previous generations. But too many of us don't realize that this boost in lifespan means we need to fund a retirement that could last for 20 or 30 years. This is what's known as the longevity disconnect. Calculating how much you need to save for retirement is even more difficult if you don't realize how long retirement can be. What concerns Americans the most? One of the biggest worries Americans have when it comes to retirement is outliving their money, according to a plan participant survey by Prudential Retirement. A substantial 71 percent of survey respondents fear they may not have sufficient income for their retirement years. Only one in five are highly confident they will have enough to last a lifetime. "Today we have more financial information, education and planning tools available to us than ever before," says Christine Marcks, president of Prudential Retirement. "But despite the steady drumbeat of headlines about retirement planning, we're still not getting it right." Why are people having a hard time saving for retirement? Why are they actually saving less when they need to save more?

Blame our brains The answer to those questions may surprise you. Research shows the reason could lie in how our brains are wired to respond to the environment. Humans are conditioned to focus on survival in the here and now. Yet, our contemporary life demands that we plan for multiple scenarios and contingencies, often with effects that could shape our lives far into the future. Behavioral researchers have found that people actually perceive their future selves as strangers, and many find it difficult to understand the financial needs that "stranger" will have in his or her lifetime. That's one reason why saving for many years ahead is difficult for us. This and further research from Prudential shows us there are five inherent behavioral biases that make us our own worst enemies when it comes to saving for retirement. Not being aware of increasing life spans (longevity disconnect) Putting off difficult or timeconsuming tasks (procrastination) Thinking that bad things only happen to other people (optimism bias)Making decisions based on what other people are doing (herd mentality)Putting today's wants ahead of tomorrow's needs (instant gratification)Smart planning
