Hello, this is Pixie! You may recognize me, I wrote to you before. I’m still here and as much as I love my perch by the window, I’d really love a home. Maybe even a home with a soft bed near a window... now that would be purrrfect! I love attention and can get a little over stimulated at times so maybe someone who has had a cat before may be the best fit for me. I love gazing into your eyes to try and explain what I’m feeling! I’m only 3 years old and I would prefer to have you all to myself if possible. You and me! What a great time we’ll have relaxing on the couch gazing at all the wonderful goings on outside! The CCC is in need of supplies, especially litter (Scoop Away), bleach, laundry detergent, dry and wet cat and kitten food (Purina/Friskies), paper towels, trash bags, and treats! Any help is very much appreciated!

• Halloween (1978): Thanks to its title, perhaps no film is more synonymous with Halloween than this John Carpenter classic. A decade and a half after murdering his sister on Halloween night in1963, deranged Michael Myers is back to terrorize his hometown of Haddonfield. • Night of the Living Dead (1968): Recently deceased writer/director George Romero’s tale of the dead suddenly coming back to life is a horror genre classic. Curl up on the couch and watch in horror as a handful of frightened characters attempt to keep flesh eating monsters at bay as they hide in an abandoned farmhouse. • Pumpkinhead (1988): B-movie legend Lance Henriksen stars as Ed Harley in this cult classic about a vengeful father who hopes to get revenge on the people responsible for his son’s death. After conjuring a towering demon to do his dirty work, Harley experiences remorse
as Pumpkinhead kills again and again. • Friday the 13th (1980): Another horror classic, this film follows a group of teenagers who are attempting to reopen an abandoned campground. One by one each teen is murdered by a mysterious killer, who ultimately turns out to be Jason Voorhees, who drowned at the campground as a boy years earlier. • Hellraiser (1987): A simple puzzle box serves as the catalyst for this classic from horror master Clive Barker, making his directorial debut with this tale focusing on a zombie being pursued by demons. • Frankenstein (1931): Film buffs who want something scary and historic this Halloween can opt for this nearly century-old adaptation of Mary Shelley’s tale of an obsessed scientist who creates a monster from the body parts of various exhumed corpses. • Children of the Corn (1984): Based on a short story from horror fiction legend Stephen King, this film focuses on a couple’s relocation to a rural Nebraska town. Upon their arrival, they begin to suspect something is amiss, ultimately learning a religious cult of children is terrorizing the town.

The Truth About Witches and Full Moons Prizes! Giveaways! Best Costume! Music by the Bounce Crew
While the image of a witch riding her broomstick across a full moon is one of the more indelible images
associated with Halloween, the likelihood of witnessing a full moon on Halloween is pretty slim. According to Moongiant.com, a full moon on Halloween happens an average of just once every 18 or 19 years. That means Halloween celebrants will likely only witness a full moon on Halloween five times every century. In fact, the last time trick-or-treaters went on the prowl for Halloween candy beneath a full moon was October 31, 2001. And Halloween lovers will have to wait just a little bit longer to dodge evil spirits in the light of a full moon, as Moongiant notes the next time a full moon is slated to appear on October 31 is not until 2020.

A guide for health and well-being for you and your family. Don't Let The Flu Bug You This Year (BPT) - Flu season is upon us, and many healthcare facilities are urging you to start preparing now with vaccines. Ironically, one of the places where you need to be careful is at the doctor's office or healthcare clinic. The number of people in and out of clinics this time of year increases the chance that someone will leave behind a harmful pathogen. Being in close proximity with people who may already have the flu can put you and your family at risk. You can reduce this risk by following some simple instructions from healthcare cleaning experts.
"Healthcare-acquired infections can be a threat to everyone, especially the elderly and young children," said Steve Zimmerman, director of healthcare services for ServiceMaster Clean, one of the nation's leading cleaning and janitorial service providers. "Most facilities do a good job of sanitizing their waiting areas, but sick people can spread their illnesses through the touch of a door, magazine or pen - leaving you vulnerable to pick up germs you can't see." The Centers for Disease Control estimate that 9 million to 35 million people will get the flu each year, 140,000 to 710,000 will be hospitalized because of it, and 12,000 to 56,000 will die from the

While the vaccine may help protect you from the flu, cleaning experts urge everyone to avoid high-touch areas as much as possible. What are high-touch areas? In a healthcare setting, Zimmerman defines high-touch surfaces as anything that multiple people will likely touch during their visit. Some high-touch surfaces are hard to avoid, such as door handles and chair armrests. That's why it's wise to wash hands often and use hand sanitizer when necessary. But there are other high-touch areas you can avoid, such as: • Magazines. These are nearly impossible to disinfect once they have been contaminated. Don't pick them up while you're waiting.

surfaces in the restroom, wash your hands thoroughly and use hand sanitizer if it's available. • Ink pens. Think about how many hands touch the ink pens in facilities - whether signing in or filling out paperwork, bring your own and eliminate the possibility of sharing germs. • Coffee urns. For many Americans, coffee is a must. If you pick up a coffee pot or stop in your favorite coffee shop, take hand sanitizer with you and use immediately after you pour a cup. Zimmerman also points out that if you schedule visits for the early morning, you are less likely to contract the germs that typically accumulate, since cleaning crews often perform a deep clean at the end of each day.
