You might be able to tell that I was royalty in a past life when you look into my bright green eyes, but right now I'm just a pretty kitty named Daisy. That makes me worth even more than a Queen, if I'm being purrfectly honest. I'm a curvy seven year old lady who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to tell you when she's not getting it. It took me time to accept that I wasn't going back to the home I'd always known, but I've made great strides over the past few weeks and my tough shell has melted really, feel how soft my fur is! I love to eat treats from your fingertips but not TOO many because I need to work on my girlish figure so I can live a long, healthy life. Will it be with you? If you're a cat connoisseur with a calm home, cushy beds and more love than you know what to do with, come on over and share with me. The CCC is in need of supplies, especially litter (Scoop Away), bleach, laundry detergent, dry and wet cat and kitten food (Purina/Friskies), paper towels, trash bags, and treats! Any help is very much appreciated! We are located at 289 Thompson Road in Webster and are open Thursday through Sunday 12pm-3:30pm. You can see more of our adoptable cats on Petfinder and Adopt-a-pet and we would love it if you would follow us and share our kitties on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com /pages/Community-Cat Connection/18375625177438. Please email us at info@ccatconnect.org for any questions!

Bat facts Literature and Hollywood have done much to villainize bats, which many people perceive to be dangerous, blood-sucking creatures that prey on unsuspecting victims. However, bats are far less menacing than that. While there are bats that feed on blood (vampire bats), they tend to stick to cows, pigs, horses, and birds for their meals. It is uncommon for vampire bats to bite humans for food. Vampire
bats make a small cut with their teeth and then lap up the blood with their tongues, rather than “suck” the blood like they do in movies. These bats are native to Central and South America. Most other bats feed on fruit, fish or insects, particularly those that reside in North America. A single bat can eat up to 1,200 mosquito-sized insects every hour, and a bat will usually eat around 8,000 insects a night. In fact, it is beneficial to have bats around since they might serve

Halloween boasts a rich history Costume-clad kids, bags of candy and jack-o’-lanterns are some indelible images associated with Halloween. Those images may forever be linked to this beloved, fun-filled holiday, which boasts a rich history that varies depending on where in the world you might be. Celebrations around the world may not mirror those in the United States, where trick-or-treating youngsters travel from house to start at 8pm and house in search Qualifications of candy. But true

While recent years have witnessed more and more Brits adopting the Americanized celebration of Halloween, for many the true holiday this time of year will always be Guy Fawkes Day. 10 early signs of Alzheimer’s disease
Change plays a big role in the aging process. As adults age, both their minds and bodies undergo changes. The changes associated with aging are not uniform. Some people may experience small changes as they inch toward and ultimately pass retirement age, while others may undergo changes that affect nearly every aspect of their lives. Cognitive decline is the type of age-related change that can have a dramatic impact on a person’s life, affecting his or her ability to live independently. A general term used to describe symptoms associated with a decline in memory or thinking skills such as judgment and reasoning, dementia is often mistaken as a normal part of aging. However, the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America notes that dementia-related illnesses, including Alzheimer’s disease, are not a normal part of aging.

Family members who notice these signs in their relatives also should report them to their loved ones’ physicians. 1.
