WANTED: Warm lap with a weight limit of 19 pounds or more! I'm not asking for myself, no, but a shy neighbor of mine who has the voice of a mouse in spite of his size. His name is Bruno and he's a bit of a conundrum - he may look a bit sad at first glance and be slow to make the first move, but when YOU initiate affection? Be ready for rumbles and a very happy boy! He's a youthful fellow of only 3 years and very healthy, sweet, AND a total lap cat who appreciates belly rubs even at his young age! His vice is that he began to show aggression to other pets in the home, and so he humbly requests that his furever family makes him their baby. Off the record, though... he was recently seen receiving a kitty-snuggle from our resident flirt, Andreas, and kind of enjoying it, so it may be worth inquiring about. As Bruno's not-so-shy neighbor, I kind of really like him and I think you should come meet him, especially if you'll give me head scritches too! The CCC is in need of supplies, especially litter (Scoop Away), bleach, laundry detergent, dry and wet cat and kitten food (Purina/Friskies), paper towels, trash bags, and treats! Any help is very much appreciated! We are located at 289 Thompson Road in Webster and are open Thursday through Sunday 12pm-3:30pm. You can see more of our adoptable cats on Petfinder and Adopt-a-pet and we would love it if you would follow us and share our kitties on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com /pages/Community-Cat Connection/18375625177438. Please email us at info@ccatconnect.org for any questions!

A guide for health and well-being for you and your family. What New Research Shows About Probiotics and Baby Health
disrupted, increasing the risk of developing short- and long-term health issues like colic, eczema, allergies, diabetes and obesity.
(StatePoint) A new clinical trial shows that parents can safely improve gut health in that crucial first year of life while a baby’s metabolism and immune system are developing.
The groundbreaking news, notes the new clinical trial, is that a probiotic called Evivo results in rapid and substantial restoration of gut health in babies.
A team of scientists at the University of California Davis have spent years researching a beneficial gut bacteria called B. infantis that has gone missing in nine out of 10 U.S. babies. Scientists attribute this trend to modern medical practices such as antibiotic usage and C-Sections. Unfortunately, when this good bacteria is missing, baby’s gut microbiome often becomes
“When the right bacteria for babies is combined with breast milk, it can restore the microbiome to its naturally protective state, boosting levels of good bacteria and reducing levels of potentially harmful bacteria, which have been linked to increased risk for longterm conditions such as eczema, allergies, diabetes and obesity,” says Dr. Tanya Altmann, a pediatrician and best-selling nutrition author.
“Doing this early in a baby’s life has the potential to reduce the risk of these common health issues later in life.”
