HOUSING CHECK-IN

Friday 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. (College Alumni Only)

Preregistration Required to Reserve Housing

Leave your housing keys in the drop off boxes located in the Queen Anne Residence Hall lobby or at the entrance of Daugherty-Palmer Commons.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 4

Race Start and Finish

Register for the historic 50th running of the race by Sunday, June 30! The 'Pride of Baltimore II' starts it all on Friday, August 4 in Annapolis at 2:45 p m The Cruisers and other boat classes begin around 3:00 p m , with the faster ORC & PHRF A boats starting around 5:00 p m. The Solomons, Potomac and Fishing Bay courses begin around 6:00 p m , with all finishing between the Church Point cross & the new Maryland Dove at St. Mary's City on Saturday, August 5. Ride safely to and from your favorite local watering hole with continuous round-trip transportation. Pick up and drop off locations: Daugherty-Palmer Commons Circle and Queen Anne Residence Hall shuttle stops $10/passenger (or $12 on-site)

Hop aboard to get around campus with stops at the James P. Muldoon River Center, Michael P. O’Brien Athletics and Recreation Center (for showers), Daugherty-Palmer Commons (Townhouse Green) and Queen Anne Residence Hall Free Service

Welcome Breakfast | 6 a.m. – 10 a.m.

Fuel up for the day with a hot meal at the St. Mary’s Parish Hall – back by popular demand

Visit the College’s new state-of-the-art performing arts center to enjoy one of America’s leading orchestras. You must register through the BSO website to secure your tickets. That registration link will also be included in the confirmation email you receive after registering for the Governor’s Cup shoreside amenities.

Awards Ceremony | 5 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Celebrate this year’s fastest of the fleet. In addition to the winners of each class for the four courses, PRO Adam Werblow and Director of Sailing Bill Ward will present the Annapolis special awards for the SMCM Alumni Trophy, the PHRF awards for the Steve Bickel Memorial "Most Improved" and the trophy for the “Overall Winner” in accordance with the NOR & Sailing Instructions.

Annapolis Shuttle Service | 6:30 p.m.

Hop aboard the shuttle service to the Annapolis City Dock. This will depart promptly at 6:30 p.m. St. Mary’s City Post Office

Rock the night away with Groovespan, one of Southern Maryland’s most talented and versatile bands featuring SMCM alumni and faculty.
