You might expect a college that’s entirely honors to be intimidating and competitive. That couldn’t be further from the truth. Because at St. Mary’s College, THE NATIONAL PUBLIC HONORS COLLEGE, we are all in this together. Our stunning waterfront setting along the banks of the St. Mary’s River fosters a close-knit community filled with artists and athletes, musicians and scientists, entrepreneurs and dreamers. Actually, we consider ourselves practical dreamers with bluesky ideas and concrete plans ready to change the world.

MAKE IT YOUR ST. MARY’S COLLEGE! Whether you’re enjoying smoothies at the Daily Grind after singing along with your friends to karaoke, rehearsing for a concert, roasting marshmallows at the Waring Commons fire pit, cruising along the St. Mary’s River on a paddle board, practicing for mock trial, or listening to a big-name speaker for the Twain Lecture Series, ST. MARY’S COLLEGE has something for everyone. With 60 student-run clubs in addition to a rich array of campus programming, something is happening every day. Special events like World Carnival keep life fun at St. Mary’s College. Feel at home in Montgomery Hall studying Shakespeare, music, or art. How about Schaefer Hall, with its astronomy telescopes, axolotls, and science labs? Regardless of your hobbies and interests, there are plenty of opportunities to make St. Mary’s College your own.
