SHAPING HIS STORY SINCE 1852
Canada’s only independent, Catholic school for young men in Grades 7 to 12, taught in the Basilian tradition of forming the mind, body and spirit – since 1852. MISSION In the tradition of the Basilian Fathers, we educate young men in Goodness, Discipline, and Knowledge for a life of leadership and service in faithfulness to Jesus Christ.
VISION We graduate young men who will change the world through lives of faith, character, and service.
MOTTO “Bonitatem et disciplinam et scientiam doce me,” or “Teach me Goodness, Discipline, and Knowledge” Psalm 119 originally Psalm 118.

CELEBRATING SUCCESS “SMCS laid the foundation for a lot of the lessons hockey and academia helped develop. I remember the expectations, the work commitment, the pride, the time management, the camaraderie.”
NATHAN CHIARLITTI ‘10
“My experience at SMCS was excellent in terms of my Catholic education and my network – virtually all my best friends are SMCS grads. I wanted that opportunity for my sons and introduced them to St. Mike’s.”
RICHARD PATRICIO ‘93
“People always ask me why I spend all my time at school and why I treat my extra-curriculars with just as much importance as actual school. Now I can truly say it was worth it, because that is what made me stand out.”
LIAM ABBOTT ‘19
“St. Michael’s taught me how to be humble and handle myself with grace. In my time there, I learned what it means to be a St. Michael’s man, and how to hold myself accountable in every avenue of life. St. Michael’s will always hold a special part in my heart and I am more than honoured to call myself an alumnus.”

“It’s important for me to give back to St. Michael’s, especially the students, and have them realize how much of a network they have within this school. Answering life questions, talking about university life outside these yellow brick walls, and making them understand that the alumni are always here for them at any point.”
