LoST arT A skateboarding shop based in Liverpool, the aim was to create imagery to direct existing and new customers to their newly located shop and their online presence.
I felt that there are a lot of cliches used in skateboarding, implying the rebellious side of the sport. To be innovative, I devised the idea of a welcoming party for the new shop location. This webpage design would link to the original site and the poster would advertise the party as well as the shop.
5-9 Slater Street Monday 23rd June 8 till late for more fun and games visit lostartshop.com/lostparty
I also developed a set of board games that could be used as advertising for the party and shop. Also the games could be played at the actual event. The rules and the location of the party would be explained on the webpage.
neWSbLerT I’ve created a news company, which shows breaking and topical stories in a light-hearted way using motion graphics and animation. newsblert.tumblr.com www.vimeo.com/newsblert @newsblert
The idea was to show my views regarding the news and provide an alternative way to inform people of recent headlines.
I’ve branded the news company ‘NewsBlert’ as the animations are quick, as well as being quirky, hopefully making people smile rather than grimace at the news. Below are the opening and closing production logos for my channel.
These are some of the news stories already told. More animations can be found on the websites for the channel.

my guidebook This is a book that I’ve developed. It was created using some of the rules and guidelines I’ve picked up during my 3 years at LJMU.
The book includes general suggestions, from getting the bus after rush hour thus avoiding smelly commuters, to reminders on how to kern type.
CLoCkSTruCTion I have developed a method to count down a building that is in the process of being built or refurbished, using construction techniques.
I was inspired to create this project after seeing many construction sites on my daily walk through Liverpool.
I decided to try and re-create my proposal at home, using building techniques and materials to create the numbers for the clock.
The clock could be on screen or projected onto the building whilst it is being built. This could be used to create publicity for the companies involved, as well as informing the public of the expected completion date.
But could also be applied to the rebuilding of areas or cities.
