Message From The President

Hello Key Clubbers!

Can you believe it's the already start of the 24-25 term?! For those of you who don't know me, my name is Yuki Hinayon and I proudly serve you all as your President this term! A little bit about me, I have been a part of Key Club since my sophomore year and I am a part of our school's theatre program. I was the previous newsletter editor for our club and now serve D27N as your new Division Newsletter Editor. I love music, hanging out with friends, and most of all bringing a smile to people's faces. I'm very excited for this upcoming school since I have so many wonderful fundraisers planned to support the Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP)! I hope you all have an amazing start to the summer and I can't wait to see you all at the start of the school year this fall!

SMKC Os-Key Awards

I attended the Os-key awards in which members of the old board and for our club procter Mr. Sousa, as our club transitioned from the old to new board when our previous president Sheila handed her position over to Yuki. She then proceeded to hand out awards for each of the new board members with very creative names for each member. I enjoyed receiving my “BTS Jungkook” award from Yuki and seeing our other board member awards and after all the awards were handed out, we had pizza and lumpia and vibed to music. It was a really fun time officially becoming part of the key club board and talking with Justin, the previous key club treasurer, and other previous board members.

May DCM

The D27 May DCM occurred on Saturday, May 18, at Panella Park from 1-4 in the afternoon. This was the first DCM of the new term. This was the first DCM I have ever attended and I thought it was amazing. THe icebreakers were really fun and all the water activities like the water balloons made it even better. We saw officers getting water buckets dumped onto them and water balloons thrown everywhere. Even our president, Yuki, couldn’t escape from the water buckets. This was so so fun and I hope I can attend more events just like these ones.
