ONCE UPON A HELL OF A TIME

LIFE BEYOND WALLS: NEW ZEALAND, EPISODE 1

S

MITH HAS BEEN CREATING eyewear and head protection for active lifestyle enthusiasts for 50 years now. Their multi-sport webisode series, life beyond walls, showcases the outdoor escapades of Smith skiers, snowboarders, surfers, climbers, mountain bikers, road bikers, kayakers and general enthusiasts. For Smith, it is all about the journey.

PARIS GORE

Life Beyond Walls: New Zealand, Episode 1 is the first episode of a three-part series. Members of the Smith mountain bike team travel down to New Zealand to meet more team members and explore the south island, ride singletrack, destroy an RV, forge storms, and have run-ins with the local law. This series is all about the journey and giving viewers an inside look at what happens along the way. No matter how much planning is done, some things are just out of your control. All you can do is keep the cameras rolling. The team includes Joey Schusler—who also did lots of the filming—Lars Sternberg, Mike Hopkins, Rosara Joseph, Alex “KrunkShox” McGuinnis and Carolynn Romaine. Still photographer Paris Gore, videographer Thomas Woodson and Team Manager Mallory Burda also enjoy the journey. Check out episode 1 below followed by 2 and 3 for an excellent way to stir up some pangs of wanderlust and singletrack envy. http://www.smithoptics.com/ lifebeyondwalls?location=new_zealand_1
