Citterio Collection
The comfortable visitor and conference chair Visastripes is characterised by a sophisticated design and inviting form. Its various versions make it ideally suited for all areas of office and contract seating. Visastripes ideally complements the Oson office chair family. Antonio Citterio, architect and designer, was born in 1950 and now lives and works in Milan. Citterio started working with Vitra in 1988. Since then, he has designed a number of office and visitor chairs, armchairs, and the office furniture programmes Ad Hoc, Spatio, and Ad One. The Citterio Collection is continually expanding. Vitra has been exploring sitting and working for more than 40 years. Long years of experience are incorporated into the development of all products.

The special feature of the backrest is that it is made of two lateral frame elements covered with a membrane. It yields when the sitter leans back and adjusts to the sitter’s shape and movement.
The knit fabric cover is comfortably soft and elastic.
The seat and backrest are generously dimensioned and have no hard frame. The one-piece shell supports the back. On the upper edge, the flexibility of the material provides freedom of movement.
The cantilever frame combined with the freely suspended backrest and seat provides high sitting comfort. The armrests are integrated.
For use in the education sector, for seminars, and for mass seating, Visastripes is also available in the following functional versions: with row connectors, with folding writing tablet, and in a stackable version.

Cantilever frame made of chromed tubular steel (matt or powder coated basic dark). Integrated armrests made of polypropylene in basic dark. One-piece construction of backrest and seat made of polyamide, cushion made of polyurethane foam. Upholstered with Oson knit fabric, backrest with bi-coloured stripes and seat with solid colour, or seat and backrest entirely in solid black. Frame on plastic glides, with optional felt pads for hard floor surfaces. Chromed frame also available in stackable version (max. 5 chairs). Optional folding writing tablet (max. 3 chairs stackable) or row connector.
