Wednesday 1st August: Meet the tour leader at 1700hrs at the Malta International Airport for checkin on your direct Wizzair flight to Katowice departing at 1850hrs. Upon arrival, your private coach will take you to your centrally located 3* Hotel Alexander II in Krakow for room allocation and overnight. Thursday 2nd August: Today, after breakfast, we encourage you to join the tour leader for a full day excursion to the beautiful city of Krakow. Meet your licensed English speaking guide for a walking tour of the city you will be calling home for the next few days. Immerse yourself in its grandeur and beauty, whilst having the opportunity to visit the Royal chambers, the Royal Cathedral (entrance included), the Bishop’s Palace, Wawel Hill and the twin-spired St. Mary’s church (entrance fees extra where applicable) with its famous Wit Stwosz medieval altar. However, there’s more to the former royal capital than its history. As you walk through the Old Town, you’ll sometimes find yourself overwhelmed by the harmony of a quiet back street, the ‘just so’ nature of the architecture and light. It’s at times like these that Kraków reveals its harmonious blend of past and present, an essential part of any visit to Poland. Friday 3rd August: After breakfast, join the tour leader and the local guide to the Kazimierz district of Krakow. While the old town contains soaring churches, impressive museums and the vast Rynek Główny, Europe’s largest market square, in the former Jewish quarter, Kazimierz, remnant synagogues reflect the tragedy of the 20th century, just as its lively squares and backstreets symbolise the renewal of the 21st. The Remuh synagogue (entrance included), and its adjoining cemetery is a unique complex of Jewish architecture and religious art dating back to the mid-16th century. It functions as a centre of the religious life of Jews in today’s Kraków. Complete your day by a visit to the Oscar Shindler factory and to the world famous Eagle Pharmacy (entrances extra). Saturday 4th August: Today, a full day optional excursion awaits you: two of the most important and beautiful attractions combined in one day. Start your day by visiting the Wieliczka Salt Mine complex (entrance included). These mines include magnificent underground chambers chiseled out in rock salt, amazing underground saline lakes and majestic timber constructions and unique statues sculpted in salt. It is no surprise that this is one of the most popular attractions in the whole of Poland. Later make your way to The Shrine of The Divine
Mercy in Kraków-Łagiewniki. At its heart stands the chapel where the miraculous image of Merciful Jesus and the tomb of Sister Faustina are to be found. This small church, consecrated in 1891 and dedicated to St. Joseph, has since witnessed the prayer of the Apostle of The Divine Mercy and the extraordinary graces received by Sister Faustina. For this reason the Lagiewniki Shrine became the centre of devotion to The Divine Mercy.

Unlike the large markets of Marrakesh or Fes, the market of Beni Mellal is still largely geared toward Moroccans. Berbers from the mountains and Arabs from the plains meet here to sell their respective goods. Later continue your way towards the world famous Ouzoud Waterfalls. Admire one of Morocco’s natural wonders, and witness the stunning, 110m waterfalls as they plunge down rugged cliffs. You could almost forget you’re in the middle of the desert once you see these stunning waterfalls! Overnight in Ouzoud. Monday 17th September: After breakfast enjoy your free time in Ouzuod before proceeding to Marrakesh. It is the fourth largest city in the country, 20

and considered as the capital city of the midsouthwestern region of Marrakesh-Safi. Located to the north of the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, Marrakesh is possibly the most important of Morocco’s four former imperial cities. Various buildings constructed in red sandstone, have given the city the nickname of the “Red City” or “Ochre City”. Marrakesh grew rapidly and established itself as a cultural, religious, and trading centre for the Maghreb and sub-Saharan Africa. Overnight in Marrakesh. Tuesday 18th September: After breakfast join the tour leader and your English speaking local guide, for a full day excursion to Marrakesh. It has the largest traditional market in Morocco, with wares ranging from traditional Berber carpets to modern consumer electronics. Visit the Bahia Palace built in the late 19th century and intended to be the greatest palace of its time capturing the essence of the Islamic and Moroccan style. Continue your way towards the Djemaa El Fna, Marrakesh’s main square. Enjoy the soundtrack of snake-charmer flutes, whilst restaurants fire up their grills. UNESCO declared the Djemaa El Fna a ‘Masterpiece of World Heritage’ in 2001 for bringing urban legends and oral history to life nightly. Berber musicians strike up the music and Gnaoua troupes sing while henna tattoo artists beckon to passers-by and water-sellers in fringed hats clang brass cups together, hoping to drive people to drink. This is a show you don’t want to miss Wednesday 19th September: After breakfast make the most out of your last few hours in Marrakesh, before heading east towards the coastal city of Casablanca, where you will re-join your tour leader on a short walk within this beautiful city. Thursday 20th September: After breakfast, head towards the Central Marche and see how locals shop. The old colonial market is known for its stalls of fresh fish, colourful fruits and vegetables, and various meats. Then head towards the coast for lunch (extra) before making your way towards the opulent Hassan II Mosque. Located next to the coast, the architectural gem boasts fine craftsmanship and exquisite details. Although a sacred place of Islamic worship, nonMuslims are permitted to admire the interiors as part of a guided tour. Several magnificent fjords are located along the channel coast and the majestic Mendenhall Glacier, a favourite of visitors, is nearby. Monday, 30th July Skagway, Alaska When gold was discovered in the Klondike region of the Yukon Territory (just across the border from Alaska), it resulted in the historic Gold Rush of 1898. As thousands of goldcrazed adventures sought the best starting point for their arduous trek, they found the deepest penetration possible by boat was at the northern tip of the Lynn Canal. This is how Skagway was born. Tuesday, 31st July Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska This narrow fjord is located approximately 50 miles southeast of Juneau. Breath taking Tracy Arm extends over 30 miles long, with nearly a quarter of its area covered in ice. During this festival, people light up their houses and shops with Diyas (Small cup-shaped oil lamp made of baked clay). They worship the Lord Ganesha for good welfare and prosperity and Goddess Lakshmi for wealth and wisdom. Hindus light up their homes and shops, to welcome the goddess Lakshmi, to give them good luck for the year ahead. A few days before Ravtegh, which is the day before Diwali, houses, buildings, shops and temples are thoroughly cleaned, whitewashed and decorated with pictures, toys and flowers. On the day of Diwali, people put on their best clothes and exchange greetings, gifts and sweets with their friends and family. Thursday 8th November - Samode: (40km - 1hr) - After breakfast you leave for Samode. Arrive in Samode, check into your hotel to relax and refresh yourself. Later you will visit Samode village. Samode is nestled in the foothills of the Aravallis range and is inhabited with about 8000 people. This small village offers a relaxed atmosphere away from the polluted, traffic and bustle of city life. In Samode you will also visit the old bawaries (water well), chhatries, 400-yearold gates, three forts, temples, gardens and a palace. Besides this, in Samode you will be able to discover a great diversity of local arts and crafts like miniature paintings, lac, iron work, jewellery, leather, carpet weaving, stone cutting etc. In Samode you can dine the Rajasthani
cuisine, enjoy the traditional Kalbeliya dance, and have a nice walk on the hills. In the evening return to your hotel for overnight. Friday 9th November - Samode: In the morning after breakfast you will visit the Major Tourist attraction in Samode the luxurious Samode Palace. This palace was originally built 400 years ago as a simple fortified Rajput stronghold, then developed into an exquisite example of Rajput and Mughal architecture with ornated and elaborate decoration set in beautifully landscaped gardens. The main attraction of the Samode Palace is the incredible Sheesh Mahal (hall of mirrors) and Sultan Mahal (decorated in murals depicting ancient hunting and love scenes). The architecture of the havelis expresses the culture and traditions of villagers. Inside the havelis you will be able to view the colorful patterns and frescoes of surrounded clustered rooms. The villagers of the Samode are well known for their artistic production. It is the home of various artists like the bangle and jewellery makers, stone and paper painting artists, carpet weavers, potters, metal workers, lac makers, gem cutters and traditional mojadi (jooti) as well as bed and cushion cover makers. In the evening you can explore the city before you return to your for overnight. Saturday 10th November – Samode / Delhi: (230km – 5hrs) - In the morning after breakfast you will leave for Delhi.
