ENKHUIZEN CITY TOUR WITH OPEN AIR MUSEUM

Join us on a tour of the historic harbor town of Enkhuizen. Here, time really seems to have stood still. Experience the maritime flair of this enchanting town on the IJselmeer, which in the 17th century was one of the richest in the country. A journey back in time awaits you during your visit to the Zuiderzee Museum (open-air museum).

Take a ferry boat to the museum village and walk along cobbled streets with more than 140 buildings from the “Golden Age” - here Dutch maritime history comes alive again. Discover traditional costumes from days gone by and the country’s largest collection of wooden ships.

Once Countess Jacobäa of Bavaria gathered fresh ingredients here for the palace kitchen, today the floral splendor of her garden captivates hundreds of thousands of visitors: the Countess’s kitchen garden, in Dutch: Keukenhof. Every spring, Keukenhof is a real feast for the eyes. In this 32-hectare park, tulips, hyacinths, daffodils and other spring bulbs are in full bloom. In a wonderful setting of modern and traditional garden architecture, an overwhelming play of colors awaits you during a walk together.
