Corfu is one of the most beautiful and romantic islands of the Ionian islands. From lush green hills to noble mansions and from idyllic beaches, to interesting museums, this island has everything it takes to please any type of traveller.

Strongly influenced by the Venetians, the French and the English, Corfu Town, the capital, is a brilliant base for exploration. Get lost in the narrow cobblestone alleys, the so-called “kandounia”, visit museums, such as the Museum of Asian Art, walk down the famous Liston promenade, stroll around the huge Spianada square… The whole Corfu town squeezes out a nostalgic charm!

You’ll see the glorious past of the island reflected in its imposing palaces, noble mansions, beautiful museums, and charming squares.

Moving away from Corfu Town, you’ll discover picturesque seaside villages, tiny verdant islets, luxurious resorts, and wild natural landscapes. It’s amazing how the different sides of this idyllic island coexist in harmony!

As for sightseeing, it’s one of the best things to do! The top places to visit are Achillion Palace, the former retreat of Princess Sissi of Austria, Mon Repos Palace, where Phillip, the husband of the late Queen Elizabeth II was born, the iconic Panagia Vlacherna and Pontikonisi island. They will make you fall even deeper in love with Corfu!

The island is also famous for one thing in particular: its food! Based on meat, fish, pasta, and herbs, the island’s gastronomy will excite those who love good food. The excellent restaurants and traditional taverns are the best places to taste the local delicacies!

A fully equipped modern kitchen with dining table and a bathroom are also on the ground floor. Large patio doors open up onto a private veranda that is part of a fragrant orange tree garden. Flat screen smart TV’s are on both floors with secure internet coverage throughout.

Features 1 room with a double bed and a second room with two single beds, plus a living room with a sofa bed and a fully equipped kitchen. There is a flat screen TV in every bedroom as well as the open plan living room area. Each apartment has its own private balcony with table and chairs.

GROUP DEPARTURES

DAY 1 | Head to the Malta International Airport at 1000hrs in time for your check-in procedures for your direct flight to Corfu departing at 1205hrs. Upon arrival embark on your private coach transfer to your 4* Hotel for check-in and room allocation. Enjoy the hotel facilities up until dinner (extra). Soon afterwards you may want to join the tour leader and fellow travel companions to Corfu Town (optional) for a Saturday night walkaround. Return late to the hotel for your overnight.

DAY 2 | Today, on your first full day in Corfu, join your tour leader for a fun day at one of the world’s largest water parks (optional). Aqualand offers a great combination of fun, relaxation, and adrenaline, through an unlimited choice of slides, twisters, and hydro tubes. Fast food, souvenir shops, bars and lockers are all available within Aqualand at a fee. Dinner (optional) will be served back at the hotel before overnight.

DAY 3 | After breakfast, head out on a fabulous full day boat excursion (optional) that includes swimming, sightseeing, and exploring from Corfu to the Blue Lagoon, Syvota (on mainland Greece) and the Papanikolis Cave. Later make your way back to Corfu in time for dinner (optional) and overnight.

DAY 4 | Today after your breakfast, you may want to join the private transfer (optional) towards JUMBO store for your value for money shopping spree, including toys, stationery items and much more. Later get back to the hotel and enjoy the open-air freshwater swimming pool before dinner (optional) and overnight.

DAY 5 | After breakfast and checkout, join your tour leader and a local English-speaking local guide for a full day (optional) excursion of North Corfu. Start your day by visiting a distillery and tasting one of the island’s most famous products, the “Koum Kouat” liqueur. Proceed to Paleokastritsa, which dominates the whole region and later make your way towards Sidari but not before a visit to the famous Bella Vista in Lakones. You will also have the chance to visit the Canal d’ Amour an idyllic area with unique rock formations. Later make your way towards Corfu’s airport for your direct flight back to Malta departing at 2020hrs.
