TrendVision Award XPOSURE Categories celebrate the talents of hairdressing college students and apprentices, offering incredible opportunities to winners and finalists.

In 2021 XPOSURE joined TrendVision Award, offering students even more potential for industry recognition, as they celebrated their achievement at the TrendVision Award UK & Ireland Final, held at London's Roundhouse - Wella Professionals major event, which featured hair shows by the industry's finest as well as a line-up of coveted awards. This year's two XPOSURE winners received a tailored development programme from Wella, professional toolkit and a trophy that they collected in front of hundreds of guests.

“Being part of the TrendVision Award was very exciting. I was extremely nervous, but they were all good nerves. Having been in lockdown I felt so lucky and privileged to get to experience the TrendVision Award journey along with other like-minded people who love what they do. It is so inspiring.

“The competition has boosted my confidence in myself and my work so much. Seeing other amazing hairdressers just like me who love what they do, and how they inspire others to go as far as they can, is so great. Working and training alongside industry icons has opened my eyes to a career I felt was out of reach for me. But in fact, I'm now one step closer, thanks to this experience.” “The excitement from all competitors was tremendous. We drew strength from each other and really supported one another. Then the next thing we knew it was 6.30pm and we were ready to go to the cocktail reception which was like looking at the hairdressing hall of fame. I can remember telling my lecturer, Kirstie: ‘If I forget to say later, I have had the best night of my life.’

“Words can’t describe how it felt, to walk down the catwalk to the cheers of the room, it was amazing, it felt like my whole life had led to that moment — that 30 seconds of knowing I had worked and earned my place on that stage made me feel so proud of myself.”
