IcomefromMinnesota,andI’mthe eldestamongfoursiblings.MyFather wasintheNavyfor 20years, sowe movedfrequentlyandresidedinvarious statessuchasCalifornia,Ohio,and Guam.Myeducationalbackground includesaBachelor’sdegreein OrganizationalBehavior,aMaster’sin Psychology,andaPh.D.in Industrial/OrganizationalPsychology.
What/who inspires me the most?
Mypaternalgrandmotherinspiredmeto becomeateacher.Shewasateacherfor 30years,andherpersonalstoriesabout teachingleftadeepimpressiononme, spurringmydesiretobecomeateacher. Additionally,sheencouragedand supportedmeincompletingmyPh.D. dissertationonschedule.Herimpacton mylifehasbeensignificant,particularly inmyteachingprofession,whichIfound tobeafulfillingsecondcareer.

Why did I choose SNHU?
In2005,IbeganteachingattheSNHU PeasecampusinPortsmouth.Iwaslater introducedtotheorganization's leadershipdepartmentchairSteven Painchaud.Steveofferedmeapositionas anadjunctlecturerforthemaincampus.I taughtatthePeaseandmaincampuses untilIwaseventuallyofferedafull-time facultypositionin2016.

What has been your favorite class to teach?
ThinkingaboutallthecoursesIhave taughtinPsychologyandBusiness school,OL-215-Principlesof Managementhasremainedconsistent withwhatIhavetaughtfor18years.I lovethiscoursebecauseitisan introductoryprogramforstudentsto understandwhattheywillexperiencein theworkforceaftergraduating.Italso offersproject-basedlearning opportunitiesforstudentstoworkwith publicinstitutionstoapplytheir knowledgeonpracticalmanagement issues.
